GTA IV have installation and most of the games coming out now seems to have it. Some devolopers are to lazy and wants to gain some time by making installation mandatory instead of optional. Sony should have said no to mandatory install and made all the installions optional.

I agree that Sony should lay down the law...and require game installations! I love them! In fact, I hope MGS4 takes 30 minutes to install 10 gigs so everything loads fast. I plan on getting a 7200rpm hard drive, as well. There is more than enough space to have your music collection, some demos, videos, and all the games you are currently playing installed. Only a few games have approached 5gigs, and all of them (DMC, RR7, and Oblivion) have had much reduced load times. Uncharted had no load times if you watched the cut scenes.
