I don't understand how install times of about 10-15 minutes can be such a big issue to people. Is it just impatience or trying to make it a bigger issue than it is?

for all those people saying 20 minutes let me put it in perspective.  with gta4 i put the disk in went and took a piss washed my hands and started playing because it was done by the time i got back.

 4.6 GB won't take long to install from a BluRay drive, anything from five to seven or eight minutes tops is my guess. Hell; an install that size from a decent DVD Rom takes only a few minutes.

no more than 2 gigs, if any. if it uses the technique that uncharted used, then maybe none. gt5:p's installation was only so large because it was a psn title, so it copied the whole game to the hdd and never used the disc after that, apart from verification.

freedom?  soo will games like little big planet have install times? does gta 4 have an install time? i wanna know because im buying my ps3 for those 2 games

 LBP, dunno. GTA4, yes (7minutes) and madatory. 

gta 4 does have an mandatory install on the ps3, and not all game have installs, just games that require data access speeds that the blu-ray drive cannot offer.

damn that sucks i guess 7 minutes isnt that bad but consoles having install times is still kinda wack to me
