People care far too much about resolution this generation........

That is because sony and microsoft , are making a big deal about hd graphics and such. 720p is enough imo, and anything that is going to be 1080p won't look too good this gen. People just think Higher Resolution= Better Graphics, when it doesn't.

really, then I guess this game, as well as CoD4, Halo3, MGO, PS3 GTAIV, doesn't have enough resolution?

Has anybody played the demo from start to finish yet? Comments on the demo?

Lost my faith in VGChartz. Too many stupid and ignorant Americans, even as moderators.

It's a shame, really. "The Boss" should do something radical about this Americanization, but it seems hardly feasible, so my days here are numbered.

just completed the demo, good stuff, game should be wiked. Definetley up there with resistance and cod4 as best ps3 fps.

More of this nonesense? Why are people taking this clown as the messenger from "resolution heaven" or whatever? It's just nerdish trash-talk, the guy doesn't even provide any proof to any of his brilliant and unique statements.

He revealed that Halo 3 had 640p graphics, and then then the developers them selvs confirmed it was true, so I'd say this guy knows what he's talking about.

Also, their is another guy in the same forum who has also done resolution checks and has also come to the same conclusion as Quaz51 has. The guy is a respected memeber of the beyond3d forums and brings to the table he findings which propel discussion's, and the great thing is that real developers actually participate in the discussion.

Not only that, somewhere on their boards is a link to how to calculate the resolution yourself. I've seen it once, but I, like most other people, don't want to do all the work to see if he is correct.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I played the demo, it was fun but I have the feeling its a 75-85% game, solid and you wont feel like you've wasted your money either. but not hugely groundbreaking. I found the graphics quite average, nice looking, better than R1 for comparison but average. (But I was playing crysis on the same tv 5 mins before I played Haze demo so its not fair)

Gameplay was solid, liked the touch with the sound effects and the troop comments. Also with the much larger environments its a very solid game. Overall I thought it was solidly more refined than R1 and I would say it would be a better game but the reviews will show it at or lower just because of differing expectations as this is year 2 for the PS3 not a release title. Gameplay doesn't feel nearly as slick as Crysis and I perfer the Crysis implementation of "powers"

currently the 2nd best shooter on the PS3 behind CODIV IMO

Curse you for making me look like an idiot

I think your TV isn't fully E-HDTV compatible, because it should be 1921.8x1081. My TV does subpixels in .1 increments, so I get the best quality picture.

Don't forget that the PS3 needs to be updated to enjoy this, so if you're getting the demo get the update first. Sony said the update will be included with the retail disk.  For all you with regular 1080p TVs: sorry, you're out of luck.  Get new technology.

Yes, the firmware update also yields 9.1 surround.
