PS3 sold 10k launch week. I've seen more recent numbers will post when my pc is fixed.

I think sony has a very strong brand in ME,,,my friend is from dubai and he says many people don't even know what xbox is unlike Playstation which is quite popular ,,,,but one problem with PS3 as of now is that it's still hasn't been hacked,,,,they are not willing to buy original games,he says,,,
so as soon as PS3 is hacked and pirated the sales will skyrocket there,,,but that's not sucha good news for sony I guess lol

My mate from Dubai use to be an extreme ps2 fan but now he plays a 360 exclusively. I wouldn't be surprised at all if sony had the most brand recognition there.
