Whats the point of MS doing this??? it make absolute no sense implement that thing. NO wondering MS is starting to lose the console race, instead of focusing on a gaming platform only. I think consumer and nintendo already proved we don't need a box that does it all, We a want gaming system only!. If we want blue ray movie we'll wait for a sub 200 cheap blue ray drive.

Its been up on multiple sites that they have been contacting manufacturers to make the drives for them. Asians cant keep secrets very well sometimes.

By the way, if you have one Blu ray drive a second one for the kids is also valuable as well. Now in one unit you can stream all your media and play everything in your collection.

As for selling or not selling that well? Your subjective opinion is way out of left field. PS3 is currently outselling the Xbox360 but the Xbox360 is outselling itself from a year earlier. As a viable platform it will last this whole generation.

A new model Xbxo 360 will be launched. Another upgrade. MS can deny it but I bet they will release a new Blu-Ray XBox 360. Microsoft is a software company upgrades are expected.

I still take it only as a rumor. However a blue-ray-drive would be nice for the Xbox 360. This way they can get some of the customers, which buy the PS 3 only because it is a cheap Blu-Ray player. Wouldn't help much for the software, but could move some of the hardware.

Blu Ray support makes sense for Microsoft. It effectively neutralises a major advantage of the PS3. If they can reduce the price of the unit further, they might be able to regain some lost ground this Xmas. GTA4 DC, Fable 2 and Banjo 3 is a respectable line up.

As for the selling aspect of it im talking about blu-ray players not ps3's out selling 360's. Hell i dont have nay proof of this next opinion but im sure DVD players are selling better then blu-ray's

I was joking lol but there do seem to be a lot of rumors coming from there. Nothing confirmed so obviously no crashed cars.

As for the blu ray comment... well as a format its more valuable the more players you have in your household. Still, it is early days yet, but consider this. If your family spends $250 on movie disks per year. Over 5 years the cost is $1250 and the cost of the player is $50 so total cost $1300. If you have Blu ray your total cost is $1650 and the difference is only $350. Now ok the price of the disks is high right now but im sure the market will price them accordingly. There are other advantages to the format like the ability to hold whole seasons on one or two disks. So the migration will happen but I think its the costs of the disks holding things back, not the price of the players.

Lastly - Microsoft has a lot to gain from a new console, so does Sony. Any changes they make to the current 360 will be because they think it will either make them money or secure more market share or even better! Both.

It will flop dude, I predict less than 1 million sales first day.
