Forums - Gaming - The big show in jeopardy?

Recently Activision, Vivendi, NCsoft, and id software pulled out of the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Activision has also decided to leave the ESA. I suppose the most relevant question is to ask will the show hold together? How will the defections hurt the event, and what happens if there are more defections. Which may be very possible given that the show is no longer the media event it once was when gamers were you know actually allowed to attend. So out of curiosity what does everyone else thinks about  the situation. Could the show be in serious jeopardy, or in worse shape then last year. Last year was actually quite disappointing. Could this year manage to be worse.

Around the Network

Activision and Vivendi probably pulled out because of the merger and will rejoin under their new name, since the merger is supposed to be approved here soon. NCSoft and ID probably don't have anything to show so why spend the money to attend? There are other big developers that will be there to show off games so it will do fine.

LOL, and as I was reading the title, i thought you were talking about wrestling.

^I thought he ment American Idol.
