It depends, if it's only a small price diffrerence, and the claim actually makes a difference ( biodegradable ) then yes

Somewhat yes. Though i'm not sure why.
Even if Global Warming is real i don't plan to have kids and I'm fairly certain the effects won't be too bothersome until after I "should" be dead. In which case i'm still alive it means i'm just like a highlander or something and that kinda stuff isn't going to effect me... and everyone i care about will be dead... and i'll likely be rather jaded at the thought that any emotional connection I do make will just end with that person dieing off.

I find factors such as where they were produced, who/what was exploited to make them an issue before ecology. Such as whether they were produced in a sweat shop in China, were animals abused to make the product, etc...
However if you look out for these you generally become more ecologically friendly without realising
problem solved.
Also I recycle.
Yes and No. I won't buy one product over the other just because it is more environmentally friendly, however I will if it saves me money in the long run, or it costs the same as an equivalent non-environmentally friendly item, then I will choose it.
I don't believe that we should be forced to go "green", however, I will try to be as environmentally friendly as possible, with minimum negative impact on my spending and living habits. Hence why I won't spend more for an item unless it will save in the long run.
