Huh. I didn't realize you were Greek. My friend with dual Greek Canadian citizenship had get a note before going to Greece so that he wouldn't be drafted.

To be honest I'd love to do something like that. I applied for Reserves in Canada but there was a clarical error on the processing of my application. I may try again some day.

For any aspiring planters, here's what you do.

Step one: Be Canadian. Ok, I'm sure there's something like it in the States, but I know nothing about that.
Step two: Just look up tree planting. I plant with a great group called Wilderness. Check it out at www.broland.ca if anyone is interested.

What's great about the pay is that you get out what you put in. Sometimes you can just decide to have a lazy day and get paid accordingly. Your first year isn't usually the big money maker, as you spend a lot of time learning how to do it and how to do it fast. I made more money on my last day than I did on my first week.

You know, I wouldn't mind either, it's that so many games are coming out soon and I won't be able to even try them out (SSBB, Okami, Wii Fit,etc). Oh well, at least I'll be playing Monster Hunter 3 this time next year.

I'm spending my summer at summer school, even though I'm 25. I'll be taking intermediate Japanese class from 9 am to noon Monday through Friday, and cramming 2 semesters of Japanese into the summer. And during that schedule, I'm going to have to move.

 I'll probably be making over 6 thousand. We do get 9 cents a tree if the land is unprepared, but that's not too often.

The other nice feature is that for those two months your living expenses are pretty lite. Food is taken care of, we don't drive and entertainment is provided by eachother. Beer is the big expense, but we drink the cheapest stuff we can. We're planters after all!

2,000trees * .08cents = $160/day
6days * 8weeks= 48 work days.
$160 *  48 days = $7680 *Gasps*

And I was kidding. =P
