| Magnific0 said: I think Sony created the complete HD videogaming experience, with built-in HD media format, HDMI port and a Hard Drive inside every box (which is upgradable). The hard drive is undoubtedly useful for developers, allows the PS3 to be fully upgradable software-wise, and it also opens the console for all kinds of DLC services (MS being so visionary and ahead on DLC didn't fully compromise with their vision by not including a HDD in every system). Many of you may or may not see these as innovative. I also wonder if you can call it that. The truth is, it matters for videogaming. Just as having 256 colors on screen for SNES mattered back when the Genesis output only 64 colors mattered back in the old 16 bit days -and sorry for this awkward reference- but it's like that. HD gaming is the way of the future and only Sony created a full HD console. |
The sales of Wii and PS2 since 360 and PS3 launched show just how accurate you are. HD gaming is definitely the future just as Nintendo said which is why their next console will be HD ready. Unfortunately for 360 and PS3 we are in the present now and not the future.
