Wii, PS2 Rock Band Get Expansion Discs
Even though their consoles' versions of Rock Band don't support downloadable content, PlayStation 2 and Wii owners won't be left out of the party.
Harmonix and MTV announced today that an expansion disc called Rock Band Track Pack Volume 1 will be released for PlayStation 2 and Wii on July 15. The $30 disc will contain 20 rock song levels for the game that were previously only released as digital downloads on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Rock Band.
Update: Harmonix has told Wired.com that Rock Band Track Pack Volume 1 is actually a standalone game that will not require the original Rock Band disc to run.

Sounds like Harmonix finally planned something right with this game (for a change..) It looks like DLC will be released in packs for the Wii, and Will not need the second disc to run the new tracks, which is a plus in my book. Also, this way it won't take any space on the Wii's 512 MB of space. This seems to be a good thing for all of you Wii-Only console owners.
