Hard drive changes don't count as a new PS3 as far as accounts go, right? It doesn't count against your 5 systems you can share your account on?
I;m waiting on the 500GB notebook drive to be released and get a price cut (Christmas will be great)

No, it does not. All system accounts are retained.

Sweet. I'd love to load up my PS3 with all my music and some movies, but didn't want to jeopardize my sharing of Rock Band songs and PSN games.

can you use a 7200 rpm 2.5" hdd for the ps3 or only a 5400rpm?
I believe 7200rpm drives will work. I wonder if anyone has timed load time differences...
