Forums - Gaming - I just thought of a game that would make Jack thompson's head explode...

A game so ridiculously violent, and morally corrupt that it makes GTAIV look like a Superman Comic. A game so morally callus it would offend the sensibilities of even the most cynical individuals. A game that would make even the most desensitized feel disgust at the atrocities they are being asked to perform. In such poor taste that you'd gladly play as a Nazi in multiplayer COD in front of your WW2 veteran grandfather, rather than play this in front of him.

A game based on the old testament! Commit Genocide against the kingdoms inhabiting the land god unbenownst to them promised to his own nomadic people! Rape foreign women ( deutoronomy 21:10-13) but only after they have shaved their head, and mourned for a month over the death of their family and friends that you murdered! slit the throats of defenseless children, toddlers and infants (don't forget non virgin women) even after they've been captured and shackled (numbers 31:17)! After a genocidal rampage return to town to stone women that were raped in the city and didn't scream loud enough for help (deutoronomy 22:23-24), for they are unclean! Set fire to friends that slept with both a mother and daughter of the same family! Beat your slaves, but don't kill them, that would cost you money and be foolish! But don't help somebody set a broken bone on the sabbath or it's an instant game over for you! It's outrageously violent, in terrible taste, and could legitamately make a high quality game if somebody put some weight behind it. Huge war scenes, crazy special effects as Yahweh burns entire cities of men women and children, a deep involving storyline. It could actually be a good game.

But what could Jack Thompson do? Condemn the abrahamic god in a court of law? Or back a brutally violent game as being educational for children? His head would literally explode.

Sounds good... lots of violence, plus you learn something... you could even let kids play it in religion classes or sundays school...

I think that something similar to this actually happened, now that I think about it. that series, I think it's called "left behind" or something was essentially a post apocalyptic GTA that took place after the rapture, and it did actually get a measure of praise from religious organizations. So really as long as GTA takes place AFTER jesus returns, then morally it is fine.

On the contrary, from the Left Behind PC game page on Wikipedia:

Upon its release, Eternal Forces was subject to criticism from various groups who decried the game as promoting religious warfare or intolerance. Christian attorney Jack Thompson, who had previously attacked other non-Christian video games, was particularly displeased with the game. Thompson claimed that "The game is about killing people for their lack of faith in Jesus," which he claimed made it incompatible with basic Christian doctrine, and subsequently broke his connections with Left Behind publisher Tyndale House.[4]

You should do some research on how the movie industry was run in the 30's. Movies had to be moral, bad things could happen but only if it came to a moral conclusion.

That is the world Jack Thompson wants.

Humans will do human things regardless of how they classify themselfs so please stop wasting your time trying to show how christians can be hypocrites.

Your theories are the worst kind of popular tripe, your methods are sloppy, and your conclusions are highly questionable! You are a poor scientist. Especially if you think the moon landing was faked.

I thought a game like No More Heroes would have enraged Jack since you can literaly slice a man in half and make them gush out pints blood from cutting their heads off.

Ah, Jack thompson didn't like left behind. That still leaves hope of this game making his head asplode.

I don't really know what you're talking about kenzomatic, This had nothing to do with christianity or christians being hypocrits. It had to do with Jack Thompson. I'm not attacking a group, I'm attacking Mr. Thompson.

So say this old testament game had a moral conclusion, say something along the lines of "enemies of god will be punished by death, but those that surrender to his will, will be spared". Would that be enough to appease him? Or does that still not justify killing children? Exactly what moral lesson would have to be at the end of that game in order to make it acceptable to Jack Thompson?

a game about the times when the church as persecuting heretics, witches and werewolves... submitting them in countless inhuman tortures to make them confess and then set the fire to but them survivors alive...

sorry for double posting

maybe something like this?

I was hesitant to mention it, but it seemed like the second post might be headed that way (plus memories of the ben stein thread).

Anyways I do not like Jack Tompson. But I suppose that anything where no joy could be had from the violence he might except.

What ever happened Dan Quayle though?
