Two, maybe 3 (don't remember), Death Note live action films have already been made and released. I did read not long ago about the first Death Note film coming to America; it will be a limited release. I'm excited though. I love the anime, but never got a chance to see the films.

The movie's already complete and has already been showed at the San Francisco International Asian Film Festival.

I remember posters being all over Tokyo ages ago. So no they aren't making a death note movie. They made them years ago.

The movies are a real disappointement, only if you're a "Death note" fan you should watch it. For others, just watch/read the anime/manga.
Felt to me that they were trying to cram the entire story into the 3 movies, which just doesn't work out. They leave out all the parts which made the anime so great in my opinion.
All I'm saying is don't waste money on a cinema ticket.
