Forums - Gaming - Does anybody know how many Mario Strikers were sold?

Since VG chartz only follows software sales in Japan and the US, and while a game like the new mario strikers would sell well in Japan, I think the main market would be EU. So how can one obtain sales data on mario strikers. I would like to know how many they sold, I really think it is an excellent multiplayer game.

Around the Network

ioi has recently added weekly sales to Europe, but there's no telling how often they will come out and how accurate, for now. As he collects more and more data, weekly European numbers will probably be the bread and butter of this operation.

Also, at the moment, the data collected is only hardware, I believe.

It launched at #3 on the UK charts (behind Spidey & Pirates), and was #4 the following week. No idea about figures though (maybe 100k, maybe more).

BTW - I think its extremely unfair to bunch ALL Spidey/Pirates games (for all platforms) under the one position in the chart (same for all multiplatform titles). Strikers would have lauched at #1 easily otherwise.

(they even separate Nintendogs skews into different spots on the charts - which are basically the same game, on the same platform - but with different titles).

...

Strikers launched today in Australia - I picked up a copy on the way to work. Can't wait to give this a go...
