The PS3 is a wildcard, but it's actually not as unpredictable as you make it seem. Its initial slow sales were a matter of course due to its high price and limited launch lineup which did little to distinguish the system from its key-market-focused competitor, the 360. Its increasing sales now are similarly a matter of course thanks to price drops and improved game lineup, as well as a few distinguishing titles like SingStar in Europe. Being up year-over-year is not surprising at all in that context; it would be a sign of an extremely consumer-disinterested product if sales were NOT up after such drastic efforts to increase interest in the product.
Sky Render - Sanity is for the weak.
