Forums - Gaming - One console only people - what do you think?

I own a PS3 and PSP. Sure there are many games that interest me on the DS, 360 and to a lesser extent Wii, but the problem is that I don't have the time or money to buy more consoles and games. Money is an issue because stuff like fixing my car and paying bills comes first. Also with school and work, there is very little time to play during the day, but so many games to play.

ZOMG NintendoTogepi from NSider... sorry... it's the nostalgia...

I'm pretty much in the same boat as a lot of people here. I own 1 console and I'm perfectly happy with it. In fact, I still have two games that I have yet to beat because I just don't have the time. I also don't have the money to buy even more games I want right now. So I'm stuck in some sort of vicious cycle, doomed to wonder this world without time to play my unbeaten games and dreaming of the newly released games oozing of greatness.

I-It's almost too much! *sob* *hic* *crai* *etc*

Exactly same situation here. My poor PC is getting left out of the gaming fun. I can see that it can't wait till Mass Effect PC release

.

Windbane this thread specifically requested single console owners. Please don't post here.

personally i really want another console because my wii lacks good sports games and gta4. and then of course the exclusive title here or there. dont get me wrong the wii is incredible and it is still 100x better than any other console but i want the key thing thats missing. and that is sports games and gta4. if wii had those then i would never consider another console.

PES 08 on Wii actually might be better on Wii than the HD consoles because of the controls. You might want to check it out. nanatips: at this moment I only have 1 console because I do not techncally own a Wii, my fiancee does.

If a 360 drops beneath $200 I might pick one up someday, but I don't see myself ever getting a PS3, but you never know. I do know that I won't buy either console until they reach a cheap price point, I just don't feel the need to invest in a console that is more expensive but has less integrity and promise than the one I already own.

The Wii, like the PS2, is giving me everything I need in a console for its time.

@ Windbane: If its your fiance's console, why are you buying games for you to play on it? Whether legal ownership applies to you or not, you have access to two consoles at the very least. Either way your original intent for comming into this thread wasn't to talk about you having just one console, it was you quesitoning other people's motives and opinions.

I've always had one console, for 4 straight generations: SNES, N64, GCN and Wii.

I understand there are great games for other consoles, but I can just learn to live without them, no matter how the critics receive them. I also am able to replay most games umpteenth times without getting bored with them (I must have beaten RE4 for the Wii for over 15 times by now!), so it's just hard for me to run out of games to play for the Wii.
