Forums - Microsoft - 2 more screenshots from Fable 2 (RPG of the year, 2008) (IMUO)

(In My Undeniable Opinion.....)

Here are two more screenshots from Fable 2.

They were taken "a couple of days ago" and the game is looking better and better from a visual standpoint.

The people don't look quite as impressive as the environments, though they do stick to the traditional Fable style of character modelling.

I particularly like the graveyard shot.

The cemetary looks like its straight out of darkshire and the other one from stormwind.

like the pics.....hope this game turns out to be something like the GOTY

Everything is pointing to it being better than the original, which is great as the original averaged 85%.

It also has 2 player couch co-op (and I'm between 99.5 and 100% positive they'll announce online co-op), integration with arcade games, an AI dog instead of a HUD and awesome looking graphics.

Why do you keep bringing that up? Do you really think someone is going to buy the game because you have lassie running around with you? Mgs4 has the MKII, fallout 3 has a dog as well, zelda games have fairies but at the end of the day no one honestly cares. If having a little helper excites you then more power to you but I dont think any one else honestly cares.

Anyways, I still have a bad taste in my mouth from fable 1 and based from what ive seen so far this looks more or less the same. Although it does have a very diverse color pallete, which is never a bad thing.

While the screenshots definitely are pretty I learned long ago to not put my faith in Moly...however you spell his name. I'll believe that the game delivers on everything he says it does when I see it.

I was about to say the same thing. They are copying WoW rofl

Optimistic predictions for 2008 (Feb 5 2008): Wii = 20M, PS3 = 14M, X360 = 9.5M

Awesome. I'm getting this game when I get my 360.

As far as I am aware all three of those games still have a substantial HUD presense and do not emphasise the importance of their 'helpers' to nearly the extent Fable 2 does.  Furthermore, they don't imbue the helpers with nearly the amount of AI the Fable 2 dog (or "lassie" if you prefer) has.

Actually, what is with the leaves on this bush?
