Holy fucking shit at the whiners.
What the title of the thread mean is that finally a publisher talk with wisdom of the Wii nature.
Wii userbase is highly diversified, it's not composed only of soccer mom or children.
A publisher should diversified it's Wii offering and target different segment with appropriated marketing.
The Wii need new IPs and new IPs on Wii are calculated risk because development cost are relative low and with the right concept ( and marketing ) a new IP could become the new Megaman 2, Castlevania, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy etc.
The Wii is ready to accept disruptive software !

Awesome.  The PS3 gets Valkyrie Chronicles, the 360 gets Lost Odyssey, and the Wii gets Deadly Creatures.  Yep... perfect trade... -_-

All systems are getting new IPs, it'd be nice for the Wii to get a few that worthwhile as purchases to me though (being the selfish selfish person I am ).  ^_^

It would be nice for you to wait until we know more of the game before you assume it won't be a worthwhile purchase for you.

Well the fact that the developer is bad to mediocre almost guarantees the outcome.  Support is support, but I'd be far more excited to hear say... Banpresto was throwing support Wii's way.  Now that would be exciting.  THQ, on the other hand, gets a hefty "meh."

Worthwhile IP's...

hmm damn crud I had something witty but I lost it.. ok worthwhile IP's

I know I'm deathly looking forward to FFCC.

Also: Tales of Symphonia 2, I'm not certian about The Conduit so I'm in the idc section until I see some ingame stuff and omfg I want my Monster Hunter 3 enough to draw blood for.

I neverplayed MH before I heard about 3 moving to the Wii which was bigger news than it moving to the PS3 that statement based on me never hearing about it before the move to the wii, it wasn't even on my radar.

I went out and bought the used PS2 version (recently) aside from the camera controls in the begining I quite enjoyed the game, enough to buy a system over no, but enough to buy the game the day it's released? Yes.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

The Official Huge Monster Hunter Thread:

The Hunt Begins 4/20/2010 =D

I'm happy THQ "gets it" with the Wii, but then again, they've always prospered on Nintendo platforms. Want to know why the Gamecube was considered the "kiddy console"? Your answer is THQ. Like they said, they opened up their Wii development with 6 kid oriented launch titles. Not exactly helping to diversify the Nintendo audience. I'm happy to see THQ building original properties, but it can basically be chalked up to the fact that they don't have any high profile franchises in the first place. THQ has always prospered off of it's licensed properties like WWE, Spongebob, and Pixar films, while their original properties have sunk in both quality and sales. I wouldn't blame anyone for doubting THQ's ability to create the next Mega Man or Resident Evil, seeing as how long they've been making games and still have NEVER created a game of that status.

As far as their Wii selection now, I see a real broadening approach just like they say. They have the cheerleading game, which reaches into their young child demographic most likely, like a Hannah Montana crowd, they have Deadly Creatures made by a very average developer known pimarily for mediocre racing games, and de Blob which is made by the same developer that usually works on their Pixar licensed games. Battle of the Bands was a great idea, poorly executed, which is what I think each of the upcoming games will be also. THQ has always had good ideas, they just haven't provided the talent to deliver on them. I have good ideas for games too, but I know someone better will need to make it work. THQ really should have bought Pandemic back when the two had a great relationship if they had the chance. Regadless of sales, I see each of their upcoming games being a total waste of a disc, with MAYBE de Blob pulling out a miracle.

Well the fact that my subjective opinion of the developer is bad to mediocre almost guarantees the outcome. Support is support, but I'd be far more excited to hear say... Banpresto was throwing support Wii's way. Now that would be exciting. THQ, on the other hand, gets a hefty "meh."

Fixed. You don't have to be excited for the game, but please be honest.

So do you insert stupidly obvious qualifiers into everyone's posts or just mine?

I figure you're just trolling my posts but you never know, you could just like putting that into everyone's posts.

Please go away.

If I see others present their opinions as fact, I do, and have.

I'm not trolling.  I'm expressing my opinion.  LordTheNightKnight is trolling my posts.  I shouldn't have to state that my posts are filled with my opinions, that should be blatantly obvious to anyone reading them.
