You're assuming that the shovelware teams will be doing this. There are some quality teams at THQ. They may not be up to par with the quality teams of other developers, but the fact is that they are making an effort with the Wii, which is more than a lot of developers can say.

Like what?  Their biggest title (that I've played) was Titan's Quest and that game was craptacular.  It was a clone of D2 that failed to do anything other than be stunningly mediocre.

Gametrailers give batle of the bands 4 out of 10, now thats a quality to you. Joke aside, its THQ, the only game THQ will given to us was multiplats. And Im contented with that, after all, the only good game I've seen from THQ was WWE games and licensed titles like spongebob anyway.But saying they give consideration to the Wii while they gave us de blob and deadly creatures while HD consoles have Saint's Row 2 and Frontlines?!! Im really disappointed

 

Ok, now put Relic to make some Wii RTS :P hmm no, wait, get a studio to work WITH Relic and make some Wii RTS, I still want my WH40k 2 perfect :P

 THQ has been fairly successful with the DS, at least, the first iteration of their games was :P Worms 2 and Zoo Tycoon 2 both flopped, Zoo Tycoon 1 sold more than 1 million, while the second one barely crossed 60k.

I, for one, am excited about both de Blob and Deadly Creatures, and would prefer either of them to Saint's Row 2 and Frontlines. I can play generic open world and shooter games whenever I want... de Blob and Deadly Creatures both seem to bring something new to the table, and if it turns out well then I will likely get them.  (And from what the IGN guys are saying, they are turning out well! Yay!)

Sega seems to have some good stuff going down on the Wii...

Those THQ quality teams can become top teams if they take advantage of the current situation and time the releases well, regardless if they release a game like Creatures then their working with core gamers and transitioning core gamers.
De Blob will be working with casual gamers and mainly transitional gamers and some core gamers. While that Cheer leading game will be working with casuals.

It's their best showing in 8 years so prephaps they can play this out well?

If they can set the bar, they will be remembered. But that's more business than anything else.
