Felt great that Ubisoft wasn't going to harm the PS360 project by releasing a hopeless Wii version.

This is what I wanted to say.

I am sorry that I realize that porting a game to every platform isn't always a good idea. Would Super Mario Galaxy be as good on the 360 without motion controls?

One of the only times I get cranky is when people piss and moan about a game not coming to their platform of choice. I don't do it, so I expect the same of other people.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Everyone says that. They've been saying it for months now. "Oh yeah, developers are going to see the Wii's sales and begin putting tons of games on it." Well guess what, the Wii has been selling like wildfire for months and it's still not happening. Big name games are still going to the PS360 and the Wii is still getting all the scraps.

Continue saying it though. Shouting at the rain is a great solution.

Man, you really are one of the smartest people on here.  Your name is very apropos.  Honestly we have been hearing "the third-parties will jump onboard the Wii train" mantra for at least a year now.

The only reason I would care is if POP wasn't decreasing in quality anyway. But being redone beautifully on the HD consoles I have no problem with. The thing is POP games are usually on every platform. I wouldn't want the poop-on-a-stick Wii version anyways (to say it lightly).

True. And even if a game would be "better" with Wiimote and Nunchuk controls does not have to mean that Wii should have the game. I think it will be best with some difference to the experience between Wii and Xbox 360/PS3 with some unique games and no forcing every game to have a Wiimote setup.

They're making a new PoP game?

Won't they just let this series die for a generation, and rehash it next generation in a blaze of glory (i.e Metroid style). I was pretty sick of PoP after sands of time.

meh i never liked prince of persia

Sounds like Ubisoft is not trying very hard to keep their promise of "Nintendo Quality Wii games". If they tried, I am sure they could make a fantastic PoP game for the Wii, Graphics withstanding. Surprised? No..

But then again there is always hope for the RRR Rabbids using the Wii Balance Board.

Or is there?

I swear, third parties will come in to their senses when most of their new/established IPs arent selling like theyre expected in this end of this year Im betting on it. And when people say here that the 360 and PS3 have growing userbase, think again, Im still waiting for the 360 to past the 20 million mark, 4 months later it only have 18 million sales THAT, and the Wii will already past the 360 userbase in america during this year.

Anyway, I just hope Red Steel 2 will be released and turns out to be what Im expecting if not, then... its their fault, there are many chances that hey have opportunity to work on the Wii sadly they arent. They cant sustain their funding by developing with HD consoles alone maybe PC yes.

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

This must be a sign! Just yesterday I *FINALLY* got around to trying out Prince of Persia: Sands of Time on my X-Box (I got into the previous gen really late in the cycle). Anyways, it seemed like as soon as I was getting really into playing the game I got stuck! I was even planning to make a thread about it (on vgcharts no less)! It's not really stuck so much as not being able to wall jump. Now I'd consider myself at least an average if not better than average gamer and heck, I had no problem wall jumping in Ninja Gaiden Black. Is there some kind of secret to it? The message states 'press A to jump...' do I need to move the analog stick left and right? (I did try this, and even pushing up as in to scale up the wall) My guy just falls each time each attempt, a few times I got lucky and managed to string two or even THREE jumps. I just can't seem to figure out how to do it...any help? I'm dying to play this game--it got some really good reviews and I was enjoying it up until this part. I even tried switching controllers! Hate to shelve this...

It is simple. I also got confused with the crappy idea of wall jumping in POP. You do not press jump as you touch the wall. You jump against the wall, wait for the character stupid collision animation, and then you press jump. He stops for a second or 2 just as he touches the wall and that is your clue to jump. The way to never miss it is to "feel" it intead of looking at the animation, the controller rumble giving you the correct timing.

Jump against the wall, wait for the rumble as you hit the wall and jump, wait for the rumble again and jump, repeat.

Thanks soooo much!! The animation timing didn't seem to work right, but timing the rumbles worked perfect!! Just got the dagger and am ready to rock!  (You rock too!)
