This must be a sign! Just yesterday I *FINALLY* got around to trying out Prince of Persia: Sands of Time on my X-Box (I got into the previous gen really late in the cycle). Anyways, it seemed like as soon as I was getting really into playing the game I got stuck! I was even planning to make a thread about it (on vgcharts no less)! It's not really stuck so much as not being able to wall jump. Now I'd consider myself at least an average if not better than average gamer and heck, I had no problem wall jumping in Ninja Gaiden Black. Is there some kind of secret to it? The message states 'press A to jump...' do I need to move the analog stick left and right? (I did try this, and even pushing up as in to scale up the wall) My guy just falls each time each attempt, a few times I got lucky and managed to string two or even THREE jumps. I just can't seem to figure out how to do it...any help? I'm dying to play this game--it got some really good reviews and I was enjoying it up until this part. I even tried switching controllers! Hate to shelve this...

It is simple. I also got confused with the crappy idea of wall jumping in POP. You do not press jump as you touch the wall. You jump against the wall, wait for the character stupid collision animation, and then you press jump. He stops for a second or 2 just as he touches the wall and that is your clue to jump. The way to never miss it is to "feel" it intead of looking at the animation, the controller rumble giving you the correct timing.

Jump against the wall, wait for the rumble as you hit the wall and jump, wait for the rumble again and jump, repeat.

Do you mean the one with the statue of big head? Its really hard even i dont get it at first, just time the jumps then go to another side then jump again. Dont pay attention with the press jump button thingy, just as you touch the wall jump to another side you must have good reflexes but you feel the hang of it overtime.

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

Well, Cobretti2, I don't think we need to mention PC. Just about all of us have a PC and the PC version will cost less and be better than the PS3/360 versions.

Invest more time and effort into making 2 decent Prince of Persia games on the HD consoles instead of trying to get three versions of the game that would all suffer in quality.

Do you think the entire Ubisoft workforce is working on PoP, or did you not think that a seperate team could work on a Wii version?

But to answer the topic question, I was disappointed to hear it. I'll probably get a PS3 and/or 360 down the road, but I'd much rather play a (well made)Wii version of the game instead of a prettier evolution of the previous three.

I didn`t really mind as I have a 360 and Wii. I owned the previous three on my PS2 so I'll probably just pick it up for my 360 if it's any good.

i don't care, i have Ps3/Wii, but of course i'm buying it, i had the Rival Swords on Wii and it was nothing special....

I felt nothing whatsoever until I saw this thread.

Now I feel like you've really got to stop making these threads.

Word. Games being on different consoles really doesn't effect me because if i want a game bad enough I can just get the console... and likely will.

Well that and I don't like Prince of Persia games.

Including the first one!

Never played a prince of persia so essentially I could care less.

Wii should have a separate team to work on a exclusive  PoP game. That's what I think. All games being made for PS3 and Xbox 360 does not have to be a down converted to Wii when they can be just made for the strength of graphical powerhouses and simple but good controls.

Better a game being built from ground up for Wii with good graphics for a Wii game, good control and released at least 6 months or more after the PS3/Xbox 360 version so there would not be an impact in sales for both games and give Wii some time to sell a few more million copys. And that also what I think.
