Might as well go with 4 GB of RAM instead of 2. DDR2 is dirt cheap these days, and you always want as much RAM as you can afford.

Maybe its better the price is $ 10.00 less with a $50.00 rebate!
*You know, I really didn't factor in the fact that reading this sounds like a response to the thread starter, but really it's for the post above*
I don't know about that video card. I don't mean to sound like I'm trying to freak anybody out, but I've never heard of that brand before. Personally, I'd stick with a brand that offers a good warranty.
I have a BFG 6800 gt in my parents computer and it died after 4 years, but I received a new one completely free because of the lifetime warranty. While I have an MSI 7800gt, the next card I'm going to get would probably be from either BFG or EVGA.
This is just me though, would anybody else have anything to say about GPU's from these companies?
You fail to mention the sound card, prob best to pick yourself up a Xi-Fi Xtreme Gamer.
4GB RAM would be good for you too.
I am largely platform agnostic. I fail to understand why some people get overly fanboyish about what is an inanimate piece of electronics that's obsolete even before it's launched, when there are far more important things to champion, such as preventing environmental destruction or preventing millions of people dying unnecessarily from illnesses. This fact however, doesn’t mean I am not someone who doesn’t enjoy gaming as a pastime (as I have done for the last 20 years) or doesn’t have a strong interest in how the market is evolving – hence my presence on this site.
Platforms owned – PC, DS, X-Box 360, PS3, PSP and Wii.
Which OS are you using? XP? Haiku? Vista? BeOS? ReactOS? BSD? Solaris? Have you included one in the price?
Ubuntu. Linux for human beings.
If you are interested in trying Ubuntu or Linux in general, PM me and I will answer your questions and help you install it if you wish.
The OS and sound card I'm just going to take from my current computer which works fine for my needs. The OS is XP.
Chances are I may go with the 600W PSU instead but the reviews on Newegg of the Palit card didn't look too favorable.
The ram I'll upgrade to 4gb in a few months when it goes down in price even more.

the reviews on tigerdirect look good though and the extra memory would definitely help but I understand a bigger name company has better driver support and tech support for the most part nvidia drivers off thier site work good.
To OP:
The set up you named at the start is practically my set up, except i only have an older CPU (E6420), and a 500w PSU (although it is Antec)
But let me tell you, it runs very very well for the price. I can run Crysis on medium with no framerate issues, and on high with only a little slowdown. It also runs games like COD4 flawlessly. I wouldnt really worry about downgrading to the 600w PSU, and that way you can buy yourself some more ram, or a nicer case.

Being built for gaming, it should be pretty clear that he's going to run XP or Vista.
