Yeah there have been better games on PC in recent years, but this is the best looking.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
I'm not expecting this game to win many awards in the gameplay department...nothing too special from what I've seen so far...it's the graphics that are amazing of course.
Don't know about the physics yet...but I'm sure they work well.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
Don't think you've got a hells chance on playing it on full though I was reading an inteview in EDGE magazine a few months back, they were saying things about 'If you've got the latest DX10 card with 4gb of system RAM... we're gonna pull your machine down' saying that 'we want to invest in the future, so in 10 years time when you've got a new machine you can install Crysis and still be impressed b the graphics'. The guy being interviewed also said 'If your computer can't handle a certain effect you won't even get the chance to enable it. Meaning that if your current PC would run slow with the leaves bending, then you won't be able to enable this option - you won't be able to see it. We chose this so that when you do eventually buy a new system you will be pleasantly surprised'.

I just posted a link about this: Crytek has specifically said that the game will not be possible on the PS3/360 (although they point out that they may dumb the game down at some point in the future, there are no plans as of now, and they WOULD have to tone the graphics down).
Anyone who thinks the PS3/360 are "future proof" is fooling themselves. There are already games well into development that they can't handle.
By the way, I have a SLI-ready Mobo with an NVidia 8800 GTS and 4 Gigs of DDR II 800. I'm ready (minus one more 8800+ card). Just need the game to come out :p

It'll be interesting to see how well Crysis sells. It takes an absurdly powerful computer to run it, but on the other hand we can be dead sure everyone with a machine like that will be buying it. I honestly don't think it stands a chance of making a profit when all the numbers are put together. Sort of reminds me of the situation with the PS3.

I agree.

Just wanted to throw this in. Even with 4 gigs of ram, you don't get the entire 4 gigs because with most systems being 32 bits, ram is capped at at 2^32-1. And with any Windows OS, it won't go above 3.4 anyways. So having 4 gigs is pointless unless they're making Crysis for 64bit machines. :P

This is absolutely correct. I'm aware my system isn't optimized. If you can find me 4 sticks of 800 MB RAM that's, say, above 666 MHz, I'll buy it; otherwise, I don't really have any option besides 4 x 1 GB.
