Forums - General - I'll be in NYC this summer. Recommend places to go

So the title really says it all.  Ive been to NYC a lot, which is why im looking for advice on things to do.  Ive done all the obvious things.  Previously I stayed in Times Square but this time im taking a less hectic stay in Greenwich Village.  So what are some good restaurants, shows, museums, or any other cool things in NYC.  Im into good food, music, comedy, video games, japanese/anime culture.  Thanks ahead of time!

Definitely. They have a lot of stuff on the second floor you can't find any place else. Plus it's in Rockefeller Plaza so there are a lot of other cool stores. There is a Japanese bookstore about a block away that has the largest selection of anime and manga I've seen in the USA too.

Avra restuarant has the best Greek food in the city; very delicious lamb. Rosa Mexicano has the best Mexican food in the city, as well as the best margaritas. Highly doubtful that you will get a reservation at Peter Luger, best steaks in the U.S., but Ben & Jacks are also great. I don't know the name of the place, but there is this one burger joint in the Village that makes burgers almost as big as your head; if you really want to know the name, I'll look it up.

Museums? Metropolitan Museum of Arts is a must if you haven't been.

Plays? Well, most of them are located around Times Square, but there are some pretty liberal-artsy ones... in the Village. Ever see Macbeth? Okay, how bout Macbeth done by naked actors?

If you want to find out more, just send a PM.

Also, try out this web site: http://www.zagat.com/sem_pages/redirects/static_landing/other_index.html?MID=kw722google&source=google&PID=55

Should give you some good pointers.

Oh I may take you up on the Steak place.  I've been to NYC many times.  Ive seen most of the Broadway plays and some of the Off-Broadway.  I have seen Macbeth (read most all Shakespeare plays/sonnets), but have not seen naked Macbeth.  Im going with my brother, so Im not sure if we will get to that this time around xD .  Thank you for the tips.  Much help everyone.
