There is a huge difference between not having an interest in something, and hating it. That's the difference between a fan, and a fanboy.

If all I wanted to play was RPG's, and I could only own one console, I would probably buy a PS3 with BC. All the RPG's for the PS1 and PS2 are better then the exclusive ones on the 360. Also Oblivion plays better on the PS3 then the 360, and the future looks better for the PS3.

Anyway, that's not the point. The point is if I did find everything I wanted to play on the 360, and nothing I wanted to play on the PS3, I would dismiss it as a product I was not interested in. I would not hate it.

The difference between the two is why you're a fanboy, and others are fans.

Your whole fanboy argument when it comes to me is to state that I'm too crafty to post a blatantly anti-PS3, banworthy comment, but that I slowly chip away at the console.  And yet you think that I would 'slip up' to the extent that I would say "you should hate the PS3" with any seriousness?

You label me a fanboy continuously, and always on the weakest grounds.

Also, would you really pay fivee times the cost of a PS2 for a BC capable PS3 just to play PS2 games?  I wouldn't, but I don't have the option, as Sony are not currently gracing my region with the presense of a BC compatible model.

Personally, I think the future of RPG's on the 360 looks better than that of the PS3, but I see no reason to get into that argument here.

OT:  There have been persistent rumours of Bioshock coming to the PS3.  All have thus far proved false.  The rumours have been shot down by 2K as surely as Kojima has shot down the prospect of a 360 version of MGS4.

Ask someone like makingmusic. He regularly argues with me, but always engaging my arguments rather than just screaming fanboy. Often, he'll prove me wrong, and I'll acknowledge that.

At the end of the day, we are both making valid arguments based on valid logic. But where I can accept that your argument is valid even though I disagree with it, you seem hell-bent on proving that I am an irrational, uncompromising fanboy. To that end, how do you expect us ever to reach an amicable stage of agreeing to disagree, let-alone agreeing full stop?

Edit: I might add that what many people in this thread consider to be a "loss" is simply being outnumbered by those who refuse to accept your opinions and beliefs.  You mentioned Hitler, and I'm sure he would have agreed with that line of thinking.

There are a number of people, a number I could count on my two hands, that routinely band together with you to oppose anything and everything I say. We saw an example from Spartan above, an example of him attacking my comments in the linked thread, despite noone else in the thread having the slightest issue with them. On the contrary, some found his attack so ridiculous they felt compelled to defend my point of view.

You see, you are incapable of having a discussion with me without calling me a fanboy or a troll. Even if you combine it with a legitimate argument, you always seem to feel that that argument won't suffice unless accompanied by an attempt to discredit my claims by labelling me a fanboy. And yet, I cannot think of a single time I have accused you of being a fanboy without first receiving the same insult myself. Is the idea that we should have to compete on even terms, each being credited with good faith and intelligence, so ridiculous and prepostrous to you?

Try and step outside the argument for a moment, and realize why every time you post your "opinion", these threads happen, and they happen with or without me.

They happen because your comments are so biased, it's to the point of laughable. There any many 360 fans, like Legend, and Selnor that do not get into these things. It's because they are obvious fans of the 360, but not so swept away by it to completely misguide them from the truth. You on the other hand say some of the most outlandish shit, and don't even realize it.

And as for the part I bolded, I think you misunderstand me. The only reason I ever have a discussion with you, is when your being a fanboy. Calling you a fanboy is not something I eventually descend to. It's the point of the conversion in the first place. I usually just read your rubbish, laugh a little, and move on. Sometimes, I think it's so crazy, that I take fun in commenting about it.

Damn this is awesome if true, but I hope this makes 2K create some additional content for the game. I'm sure a new subsection to explore with maybe some new journals, some added plasmids, and other stats would be enough for a second purchase.

The answer to most of what you have written here is simple, and you already know what it is. I don't think any of you secretely hate me. I don't think you go about your day thinking, "god I hate that Starcraft bloke." But I do think that I've disagreed with the bunch of you (and lets not kid ourselves, the opinions of the group we are discussing are always identical and always finely tuned AGAINST mine) one too many times for you to be comfortable with to the point that you have taken issue with it and feel the need to comment whenever you see me doing so.

You would think that with all the time you guys spend having a go at me, you could bookmark just a few of the examples your talking about (since they apparently happen so regularly). Imagine how quickly these arguments would be over if you really could establish a contextually-accurate history of "outlandish shit." But no, instead we have only your regular assertions that I am a fanboy backed up by nothing. Even in threads that are clearly labelled as "rumour," we have the little group we are discussing ardently accusing me of spreading lies and hypocritical deceit about the PS3.
