Forums - Gaming - Make it all exclusive and be done with it!

Get people to buy a whole other console to play a game that's already available on the console they already have.

Good luck.

Microsoft's strategy has been to expand access to their software. Their console is just one way to play among many. Nintendo and Sony depend on the sale of their hardware. Microsoft does not.

Around the Network

Agreed, except PC

Keep it all on Xbox and PC/STEAM only

Make it all exclusive and breath life back into VGChartz

The problem is there are only like ~34m xbox series in the wild.
And a good portion of those are gamepass users, that don't buy games.

Which means, all those will sell f*** all, and those end up being money sinks.
(that is why multiplatform was/is a thing.... games these days are big and costly, if your own platform cannot support it's weight.... you spread it out)

Also, after the FTC lawsuit against MS, for Activision Blizzard king,....  they kinda have to honor the 10year+ multi platform deal they made.
So CoD cannot be exclusive atm.

Also ~82% of first week sales for console, was on Playstation, and more than twice the player base, in terms of active users for it (micro transactions ect).
It would lose so much revenue/profits to go exclusive with Call of Duty.

Yes for the forum it would probably be better.
It might even be better long term (like hardware wise next gen, xbox).
The costs would be massive though.

I mean I really don't care about it anyways but I'm pretty sure making CoD exclusive would literally be a felony.

But yeah I don't think Xbox has any games I'd be sad to miss out on and I own both other systems so I really don't feel that strongly about exclusives one way or the other atm.

That's only if you care about what the FTC has to say right? I mean what bad could come of pissing them off? and say breaching a contract.

My thing is just, how costly it would be.
Call of Duty is bigger on PlayStation than it is on Xbox.
It would be a massive loss of revenue/profits.
