I think there were only 10,000-20,000 people on torrent download, GTA4 will obviously sell millions upon millions on the 360 alone... so no, it won't kill the 360 sales of GTA4.

Like Million said, I don't think piracy is as hurtful to the video game industry as people think. I think a great example from 2 years (?) back would be Elder Scrolls Oblivion on the pc. This game did not require a cd to play and like older pc games, 1 copy could theoretically be installed on an unlimited number of pc's. Oblivion still sold like crazy, and I think alot of people appreciated the respect Bethesda and 2k games gave them by allowing them to be honest on their own. I personally hate having to rip open my old boxes to get at the dvd just to play the game again. Companies like EA though will make you jump through hoops to play games you've legitimately purchased. I can't count how many times I could not play battlefield 2, 2142 because EA's server didn't like my CD Key that week. Anyway guess I'm getting a little off track here but no I don't think piracy will hurt GTA sales in any but the most miniscule way.

Ok I did my part, I bought No More Heroes, but they were out of Zach and Wiki.
Ok got Zach and Wiki, now if I could just finally finish Twilight Princess so I can play all these Wii games I got waiting. And no I won't buy Okami.
DNF, now there is a game that should have been scrapped completely. Reminds me of a kid whose been in school for 12 years and still doesn't know what he wants to do. At one point you just need to man up and get a job.
I think MS leaked it!!
They want people to purchase 360's by leaking pirated 360 versions of GTA IV!!
For those who said "It will affect in my country" - Would they buy a 360 arcade just to play GTA IV?

i know two people that done this. they spend 60 quid kinda silly coming out next week.
it not who i am but what i do that defines me. you'll never walk alone you'll never walk alone walk on walk on.
It will definitely affected the sale in the "other" region where piracy is rampant and rather the norm. I visited my brother couple years ago (he lived outside US) and he took me to the game store where you can get any games current or old for $1.00-2.00 all pirated.
He told me everybody used moded-360, and nobody buy new games here not for the 360.
In the long run this will have an effect outside the people who preorder and buy it the first day.

I know a guy who had a pirated copy of Halo 3 before its release.
So, I guess piracy will affect GTA IV's sales just like it affected Halo 3's sales.

Can't enjoy the superior graphics of the PS3 version.

Well, some of them already have a Premium, so who knows...
