Forums - Gaming - What system was the biggest improvement over its predecessor (in overall quality, not graphics) and why?

FM Towns to FM Towns Marty

Marty is a cool sounding name.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Around the Network

By op criteria...

Wii U to Switch, hands down. It almost feels like Nintendo hold back games at WiiU time just to make a big boom with Switch.

WiiU:

Dead system, failed gimmick, low sales, no games.

Switch:

Unified Nintendo system, with all ips from portable/home console.

Gen. Winner with respectable line of games.

Portable mode to play on the go.

SS-tier Sales.

You can't improve more than this. This is text book "from zero to Hero".
