Ubisoft's stock value has dropped by an eye-watering 36% today, following the restructuring plan. This places Ubisoft's stock price now 95% lower than its high in 2020. Dang! That's no good.

The board probably out to just sell of Ubi's IP.  Feels like Ubi is borderline dead.

I know Ubi died for me when they stopped supporting Steam, then came back but mandated their stupid launcher/connect BS.  I haven't bought an Ubi game since Rayman Legends.

the NFT craze.... the insane amount of ads/micro purchases/dlc's..... the same formula over and over and over.  The DEI stuff to teach the chuds a lesson stuff. Their issues are much bigger than their Launcher.   Remember the "bug" that forced people to buy dlc to play the game they owned (skybreaker dlc)? They have had tons of stuff like that.

They don't have much good will with gamers, and there are not enough justice warrior reviewers out there, buying their games for it to make much of a impact.

Like they do a f***ing samurai/ninja Assassins creed, and they can't help themselves but force LGBTQ+ stuff in there, and somehow make the game center around a black man.  The same thing with Starwars Outlaws, that should have been a game about Hans Solo... common, but nope, it needs a strong female lead.

Then the games themselves just aren't that high quality.
Again the formula thingy being done over and over... its like they just put a new skin on a game, and give it a new title. Ask people to buy.

Around the Network

Ubisoft now only have a market cap of $593 Million. Insane how low they have fallen.

In 2018 their market cap was about 37% of EA's. Now it's almost down to 1%.

Its horribly mismanaged.
The leaders (management) and people with political agenda's are literately killing it.

They have talented developers and programmers.... the issue is everyone else.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 proves it.

It's like Kathleen Kennedy at Disney with Starwars.
She was great at management, when she worked under guys like Steven Spielberg, George Lucas.

The odd thing is the same pattern is repeating with Star Trek.

Management is f***ing the IP's over.

Ubisoft have been chasing live service hits for years and almost always fail. Over the last 4 years they've released 4 multiplayer titles that failed and cancelled 4. They keep pumping money chasing the live service pie in the sky and failing.

Released: Rainbow Six Extraction, Roller Champions, XDefiant, Battlecore Arena

Cancelled: Ghost Recon Frontline, Project Q, The Divison Heartland, Project U.

I played the closed alpha of Project Q and yes it wasn't worth keeping around, and these are just the titles we know of.

"In a report earlier this week, Insider Gaming learned that Ubisoft has at least a dozen Battle Royale games in development at this same time at one point."

Yeah it's a shame, there's clearly some really great developers working there, but they're forced to work under incompetent execs and managers.

Word is there's a mass exodus of workers brewing now that they've gotten wind of the impending shakeup and know they're probably about to be laid off:
