Mass effects is old news, that has already been released in 2007 otherwise it would be a contender and Dragon Age will most likely not be released 2008. |
The PC version of Mass Effect is not old news, it will be the definitive version of the game and besides, often new versions of games from past years get awards too: RE4 Wii did it, and ME PC is not in such a drastic position as RE4 was since ME is not a 2 year old game.
Dragon Age will proably get pushed to 2009, but we are not sure yet.

They were pure hack'n'slash, really enjoyable but they hardly had side quests (especially the first installment) or character leveling. If you payed some attention to some statements you would know that Space Siege is gonna be even more Action Oriented Mass Effect, Tons Better on PC? Man, I don't know what to say. You nailed me down. I guess you have no idea what ME even looks like, except some screens you've probably seen. @starcraft. Was FFXII a masterpiece? Don't think so. Why should FFXIII be such? I'm not trying to convince anyone. But if a stated myself a WRPG fan, i wouldn't get involved in a JRPG discussion. Sayin' "Fable 2 is gonna suck cause all the WRPGs suck and the best RPG is gonna be a JRPG (whatever)" is retarded. |
Dungeon Siege is an Action/RPG, just like Diablo is an Action/RPG. A pure Hack 'n Slash wouldn't have costumization, leveling or any other stuff that RPGs have.
I played Mass Effect on my bro's xbox, thank you, so I know about it. The PC version will have:
New squad control interface – Players can now issue commands to individual squad members, providing a new level of depth to the tactical combat. Hot-key functionality – Biotic powers and abilities can be mapped to individual keys, allowing a faster “run and gun” style of gameplay. Re-designed Mako controls – Players can explore alien planets and engage in vehicular combat with an intuitive and fully camera independent control system for the Mako, their all-terrain vehicle. New Quick-save button and increased number of save slots. New decryption mini-game – A new decryption mini-game invites players to test their skills as they avoid obstacles and move their icon to the center of the digital mechanism. New inventory screen GUI and functionality – The enhanced inventory system makes it easier for players to equip and modify their weapons and armor. 'Bring down the Sky' completely Free.

If anything, Fallout3 has more hype and better impressions coming form the press than Fable 2. And don't mind the Fallout faithfull, they want Fallout3 to be exactly like Fallout2. It would be a shame for Bethesda to put some new paint on Fallout2 with additional features and call it Fallout3 just for those rabid fans. |
We want Evolution of the series, not De-evolution (which is what Bethesda seems to be doing). We also don't want Fallout 3 to be like Fallout 2, But I would rather have it be like FO2 instead of the crap Fallout game Bethesda is making.
It's not evolution when Bethesda is removing all the adult themes from Fallout 3, like drug addiction, sex themes, racism, xenophoby, homossexuality, slavery, prostitution and child-killing.
It's not evolution when Bethesda is changing and worsening the dialogue structure in Fallout 3 and we will no longer have the freedom of choice we had in Fallout 1&2.
It's not evolution when Bethesda is hiring crappy voice-actors (taken from a true reporter) and removing all the children which will hurt the game believability.
It's not evolution when Bethesda is dampening the All-important gritty, sarcastic and dark humor atmosphere which was a trademark of the series.
