I wonder why Sony’s pushing hardware so crazy all the sudden? That’s a shockingly good deal!

Maybe they see how weak Xbox is right now and are just going to completely finish them off in Europe.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have always been ruthless in how they deal with the area.

Only in Europe I think. But that probably would happen even without the deal. That's why it's called Sony-Land! In America and definitly Japan, Nintendo will be top. |
True but the difference there is that Japan will be a landslide for Switch 2 while America will at least be competitive with all the PS5 deals happening there as well, especially if they do something similar in December.

Japan will without a doubt be a landslide for Switch 2. But Europe is a landslide for PS5, where as America is kinda mixed.
You could so it all evens up, but the European tilt towards PS5 is so great it can make a huge difference when Sony throws in the big black friday discounts

Europe is going to be huge for the PS5 this holiday season.
I'm glad to see that Sony is offering good deals for every major market this year.
More's Law is dead claims that...
1) PlayStation stocked up a pile of PS5's (they where planning for a big holiday push).
2) They bought a sh*t ton of GDDR5 while the price's were still low, and got a good deal back then.
So they should be fine production wise, for many months to come yet (think half a year or more, upwards of a full year).
Unaffected by price increase on ram currently going on.

Meanwhile...
Leaker says Xbox Series prices may increase again due to severe RAM shortages:

There's supposedly a leaker that says Xbox didn't plan ahead very well... and got caught off guard by the increase of ram prices.
Which could result in them potentially doing a slight price increase again.
This is gonna be a brutal holiday's for xbox, if they are keeping prices as is.... and potentially raising them again in early 2026.

I've not seen any deals for Xbox consoles yet. Argos for example....
Xbox Series X - £500
PS5 with EA FC 26 - £380
PS5 Digital with EA FC 26 - £290
Xbox Series S 512GB - £290
It's still a few days till BF so they could do something, but wouldn't surprise me if they just haven't built any stock up for holiday promotions. The drop YoY this holiday for Xbox could be even more brutal than expected.
Digital PS5 is 270 doliroos off here in Australia and some retailers are doing $300 off. Crazy prices
