Well, honestly, at this point, I'm really in love with the game, but here is a cool feature the reviews probably leave out:
As soon as you get in game, you have a little HUD in the upper right hand corner that charts your Wi-Fi connection, your battery, and your in game stuff, so it's like having a cell phone. Even if you don't want to be hooked up to Wi-Fi, it still has that little Wi-Fi chart thing in the upper right telling you your signal, god only knows why, but it's really cool to have that setting there and knowing, heh, I'm in internet activity range right now if I need it for something. No other games just have that defaultly on and showing ya how leet you are for being in a hotspot. Cool stuff. Battery thing is also nice, cause it has the same novelty effect, like, "yep, batter isn't even half gone, this is like playing a Cell Phone game if you have the baddest ass cellphone they make."
Also, this is worth a mention. The music in the game, isn't Videogame music. It's like Elite Beat Agents music. Real, I guess licenses or created music, with lyrics, playing the whole time. When you read text, or in battle. Great, great, great. Not too often you get that level of production value from a game that doesn't center around the games music. This game is obviously something made with love, care, and hippness.
Anyway, really great game, nothing out there like it. It's like if Bleach was a videogame instead of an anime, Shinigami and all, except that it's actually the quality of the second season on the anime, packed into a videogame, and not a crappy licensed mock-game, but a real version of Season 2 Bleach entertainment on the DS. If you're on the fence about this one, allow me to take the blame for you buying it.
The game also uses that FFTactics thing where the words are text, but the characters have a little emotocon sound they use to display emotion at the beginning of their talking. The text will say
"Hey you stop"
but you'll hear your guy just say.
"Hey!"
Works really well, and there is some great Voice Acting in the main scenes as well.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
