He is one of those gaming snobs that believes innovation and maturity in the industry comes from narrative driven games that behave like movies, but tell worse stories than your average movie. The only difference is that he is in a position of power and his voice has weight, which ultimately damages gaming as a whole.

I think it’s good that there is a de facto ”official” video game event and award show, and I think in general the game award selections have been good. I’m happy for his success but I don’t have any opinion on him at all on a personal level.

I think Geoff Keighley is doing a great job for the gaming world. He’s super passionate and always puts a lot of effort into shows like The Game Awards. You can tell he really cares about games and the people who make them. I respect how he keeps pushing the industry forward in a positive way.
