Forums - Gaming - Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) Not Detecting Nintendo Switch 2 on Samsung Crystal UHD TV

Issue: I’m having a problem with Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC). My Samsung Crystal UHD TV does not detect my Nintendo Switch 2. Previously, my original Nintendo Switch was detected without any issues, but the Switch 2 isn’t recognized.

Can you guys help me ? Is someone having the same issue as me ?

It’s annoying because with my original Switch and my PS5, the TV detects them automatically and switches to Game Mode (low latency) as well as HDR. With the Switch 2, I have to constantly reconfigure it to enable Game Mode and the corresponding HDR. It says ‘Unknown Device.’ This has never happened with my original Switch, PS5, or Xbox Series S.

The Anynet+ (HMIC-CEC) is for being able to use your samsung tv remote control to control your Switch 2.  Shouldn't have anything to do with Game mode.  On some of my devices the gaming Low latency modes are only availale on 1 or 2 hdmi ins.  Try plugging your Switch 2 to the HDMI 1 input and see if this corrects that.

It still doesn’t work; it shows as ‘Unknown.’ With the original Switch, the ‘Nintendo Switch’ logo would appear along with its name, but now I see nothing, and Game Mode doesn’t activate automatically.

Also if you haven't tried, make sure the Samsung TV has been updated to the latest version.

Yeah my TV Is updated to the latest version but I've seen online that many people have the same issue so I think the issue comes from either Samsung or Nintendo. It works fine with my Switch 1. Kinda weird
