| Machina-AX said: Nah it's not unplayable at all - I think I said in an earlier post that the gameplay is amazing - the concept is amazing too, it's just soooooooo frustrating that such an amazing game is such a flawed game in so many respects. My criticisms are slightly exaggerated granted, but that's just because I think the game can be so much better with relatively little work. I fully intend to come back to it at some point and I'm sure the flaws become minor when you're really engaged with it as you are, but at the moment I don't have that drive to play it so I've stopped. I really do think the graphics are poor for a 360 game though. It looks more like a top of the range Wii game than a ps360 game to me. I look at other decent sandbox style games like GTA IV, Crackdown, Assassin's Creed and Oblivion and it's nowhere near them for me :/ |
But of the given sandbox games, how many of them have dozens, if not hundreds of NPC's onscreen at once, all doing their own thing? Answer: None of them.
Dead Rising sacrificed incredible graphic quality (which I still think that it looks decent) for having a lot of crap happen onscreen at once - I never had a problem driving the truck in the basement, racking up 100's of kills per minute, and have frame rate problems.
Outside of some people's issue with saves, I have no gripes about the game. There are issues with the game that are there because of challenge (friendly NPC's stupidity) and the like.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
