I believe it took me about 15 hours. I did tons of backtracking to the last save statues whenever I could, just about every time enemies spawned and I killed them all I went back and saved each time. There's a huge amount of tricks you can use to get past enemies and even whole parts you can run through that will just begin a cutscene.

Not really a significant milestone but I just 200'd Streets of Rage 2! :D
Scoring 800,000 points on Hardcore difficulty = almost drove me to punch things!

Man you'd need to finish the final stage and bosses to do that! :(
Basically the achievement is equivalent to getting to the end of the 7th (second off last) stage without using any continues. Come the 4th stage it begins to get very hard with the swarms coming for ya!

You mean Streets of Rage 2? Heh yeah it was for the genesis / mega drive.
Was one of the system's major games, it wouldn't surprise me if you had it ;) Still amazing fun today! :D

(and frustration, the repeated desire to punch my monitor, and over-abuse of the save function.)
You'd best do an update. I'm at about 1750 gamerscore now that I've done some GTA4 achievements.
Finally logged into XBL...With about 800 more points thanks to Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon!
