Nice update, I plan on getting all of the achievements in Gears of War 2.

@Machina
Get the Dogs of War books and read them to get your dog to fight with you better. Actually I thought he fights with you automatically anyway?
I hear your disappointments and maybe I should have recommended Fallout 3 to you - I think its more your kinda game. Dialogue is more mature/polished and there are way more weapons to 'interact' with the other characters e.g. putting a grenade in their pocket for an Achievement ;). Death is also felt more - although there is a save anywhere feature. You also wont be too disappointed at the graphics.
Just finished up Fallout 3 (great game, btw. A bit of a mix between Mass Effect and BioShock.) for 1000 gs this morning, joining 159 others out of 148,597 on mygamercard. It only took me 50 hours of gameplay over 8 days for the 1000.
The hardest achievement was "Vault-Tec C.E.O." as I definitely needed the bobblehead locations for that one. The 20 bobbleheads are spread out all over the map, in some fairly obscure and difficult places. It's hard to believe that anyone could find them all without any help. Also, some of the sidequests in the game can be difficult to find. Anyone going for 1000 I recommend saving a lot and playing the game through with good karma, as it's easier afterwards to load up a save and go to Megaton and kill a bunch of people to lower your karma and get the karma-related achievements.
Now on to Fable II. I've had it since Monday but I wanted to get Fallout 3 out of the way. I'll probably hold off on Gears 2 because I've yet to beat Gears 1. I think I stopped playing on Act 3. I'd also like to finish up Infinite Undiscovery for a 1000 but I'm not looking forward to playing the game through 2 more times. Way too much time needed for so few points.
Well done eNamrah, very good contender as normal for all RPGs. I think a guide is essential for all the Achievements as well.
Are there 3 different endings?

I believe there are at least 4, but there were rumors of many more. I think I received the best one because I had great karma and made a certain decision at the end of the game (don't want to spoil it). Also, if you do certain sidequests it adds to the ending. I didn't bother finishing the game with neutral or evil karma because my level 19 (almost level 20) game save was about two hours from the end.

Seriously, 1000 already is awesome. Congratulations. I probably won't have such luck because I'm not making saves before getting Karma achievements and I have every intention of at least playing through a second time maybe a third. Never the less, very impressive.
Also, the guide is massive but aside from bobble head locations and other stuff it's mostly useless.

Proud Millionaire (40) Acquire 1,000,000 Proud Souls You sure you actually did that?
By the way, couldn't help noticing your sig, the 360-PS3 gap is 5.8 million and growing coincedentally. |
Ack you're right it's 1 million, I was thinking of something else.
Yes I did, last I checked I have 252 hours in DMC4...

Aside from finding the bobbleheads, the hardest part of the game is exploring the map for various locations. Once you actually receive a quest, the info provided in the Pip-Boy 3000 is usually more than enough to let you know what to do.
When you hit level 20, one of the available perks (Explorer) reveals all of the game's locations on the map. A great perk but a bit worthless that late in the game. Unless you spent way too much time going around killing things for xp, you'll have likely already completed most of the sidequests to reach level 20, thus won't really need the perk.
The hardest sidequest (and some of the funniest dialog in the game) was "The Nuka-Cola Challenge" ....save every Quantam you come across. My dumb ass used them and had to waste about 7 hours scouring the map for the amount needed. Although in some Nuka-Cola vending machines they occasionally respawn.
2 0 0 0!
And a great way to celebrate is for everyone to play Gears of War 2. Seriously, this is a sick game. Just taking a breather to eat but the game makes you feel like youre about to go on the BIGGEST rollercoaster in the theme park.
