Switch can sell 240 million units and the PS2 will still have been a better console. Sales aren’t an objective measurement of quality.

The Switch is nice but the Nintendo games on it are mostly rehash and third party support was/is pretty lackluster.

I never claimed the Switch to have any, PS2 has backwards compatibility, Switch doesn't, that's a point in PS2's direction, there is no argument there.

I don't remember what games I tried to play on my PS2, but I remember borrowing a few from my friend who had a PS1. He had games like SOTN, Bomberman Racing or whatever it was called, Harvestmoon, Crash Team Racing, Digimon Rumble Arena (probably the game we played the most on his PS1), Breath of Fire 3 and 4, a bad Inuyasha fighting game that we thought was amazing back then, etc.

Again, I don't remember what games I did try on my PS2, though.

I've owned the PS2 to the PS5, and I enjoyed the PS2 the least of the 4 PS consoles. The Gamecube was my jam that generation outside of Final Fantasy X and Grand Theft Auto. Switch easily beats out the PS2 for me personally.

Factually wrong. It is loaded with Japanese support and indies. Like any Nintendo handheld, it's stacked with 3rd-party support. Maybe you only count console ports. Which is short-sighted. Out of the 200 plus games I own for the system, combined with Physical/Digital a majority of that is 3rd party. And a majority of the Switch first party are not rehashes. Part of them are but most are new entries/IPs. Switch has a larger library than PS2.

Bullshit and got news for you. Every popular console has shovelware. PS2 is loaded with it. So is NES. So is PS4. Japan doesn't count to you. Guess you're Xenophobic. Prove it with hard data it's not even good indies. Everything you have said so far is pulling it out of your ass.

Correct, all consoles get shovelware. The digital ecosystem that exists now though, means Switch gets it way more than PS2 did and it’s worse in quantity and quality. It’s like Steam, loads of cheap nonsense trash games. Switch isn’t alone though, PS5 and Xbox has that too, to a lesser degree though. 

Not caring for nonsense Japanese games doesn’t make me xenophobic, it makes me a man of great taste. It’s rare that something comes out of Japan that doesn’t come off like it is trying to cater to pedophiles with middle to high school aged girls barely dressed.

Sometimes there are good games though. And Nintendo games aren’t made to play like Japanese games.

Dont get me wrong on any of this, I own a Switch OLED and a Switch 2. They are good consoles. But the PS2 was better. And the PS1. And the OG Xbox. And the PS3. And the 360. And the Dreamcast. And the Xbone. IMHO of course, sales or otherwise.

So many "bad" games, and Japan doesn't count. May as well be empty. Look at all the not counting on a shelf.

 Both systems are full of great third party support and great games. Discounting them because indie or Japan is idiotic. Both systems are back loaded with shovelware. PS2 had Pheonix games who all they did was make shovelware for PS2 for years. Some of it is licensed like Home Alone and Beverly Hills Cop. Not to mention PS2 is from an era of licensed movie games. A shit ton of bad movie games exist on it. In PS2's final years, it got of Wii shovelware ports.  But to discount most if not all to favor your preference isn't facts. Facts are that Switch is loaded with great 3rd party support. As was PS2. The main difference is,PS2 came from an era when consoles had 3rd party exclusives. That does not exist anymore on any platform. 

As we speak I been in a PS2 mood for the past week playing PS2 games and ordered 3 off eBay. Psi Ops. Ghost in the Shell and Appleseed EX. Plus a Retrofighters controller. So I do enjoy the PS2 quite a bit. It is a great console. I can't name the best console of all time so I am not trying to sway one is better than the other but there is some bullshit about Switch being said. Objectively wrong bullshit by you.

Yep, that’s a large collection of games. Switch certainly has a lot of games.
