Good to hear as someone who also thought Doom 2016 was better than Eternal

But I didn't dislike Eternal, it's not that drastic for me, it's more like a 9/10 vs an 8.6/10, Lol.

I'm excited to play it after I'm done with Oblivion, which should be...Maybe 3 days from now

85 sounds worse than I would've expected, although still very solid.

I guess this is also a decent chance to voice my dislike for the modern Doom games. I completed the 2016 game maybe a few years ago, and while I disliked it less than anticipated based on the demo, it was not my cup of tea at all. My main gripe is with the glory kills, which the game strongly encourages, probably followed by level design (arena fights and constant prevention of backtracking, to be precise). I still have some interest in Eternal, even though I'm probably never going to get or play it, but I have zero interest in The Dark Ages due to the theme - it's just not what I'm looking for in a Doom game myself.

Doom The Dark Ages is 3 things that I am loving. The entire game is a 1980s metal album cover come to life as it were. Everything about the world looks out of Warhammer 40k. DOOMHammer! Gothic buildings and such in sci fi is such a cool genre. Another reason Space Marine II is so awesome. I did Chapter 6 where the game opens up to a large region to explore. It's pretty cool. I found all secrets without looking them up. A lot of fights. While in the background, a kaiju demon is fighting a giant mech.

I need this skin. It's Jehuty's color scheme from Zone of the Enders. Why is it tied to ordering pizza tho?
