PS3 is outselling the 360 by 52,000 units/week so it will take 123 weeks for the PS3 to catch up to the 6.4 million consoles its behind... NOT 66


Lol while he was too complicated your being way too simple. Since the week ending January 5, the PS3 has outsold the 360 by 36%. If the trend stays(most likely it will increase in the PS3's favor this year with titles, price drop in Europe) it would take exactly 104 weeks to catch the 360, and an average of 61,000 more consoles sold a week. A long while, but with MGS4, Socom, and price drops I say it will catch the 360 WW by next summer.

Because the trends have been moving in favor of the PS3. The PS3 was selling slower than the 360, now it is selling faster the 360. At the moment, it is drastically outselling the 360 outside of the US on a consistent basis, as well as outselling the 360 inside of the US most of the time this year.  If these trends keep up, the PS3 will be drastically outselling the 360 next year.

Microsoft told its investors that there is nothing to worry about, because the PS3 is only outselling the 360 in the US due to all of the widespread shortages, which is also why you never see a 360 in store.

Doesn't mean we can't apply logic to it.  There is reasonable evidence that shows that it's unlikely that Tales of Vespersia will remain a 360 exclusive.

really simple reason if you think about it.

All of MS system sellers or all ready out so, any great sequel game will all ready have it's userbase with the people that already own the 360 so they wont sell series hardware. As for sony, it's heave hitters are all sequels to games that were made on the ps2 so when they are released. PS3 sales will go straight up and stay for awhile.

1. PS3 is outselling Xbox 360 with "no games" as people like to put it at a higher price.

2. PS3 is almost double the price of 360 in Europe and still outselling it.

3. 30,000 yen / FF 13 / smaller PS3 *might* do something in Japan.

4. Even though Sony can be dumb with marketing and sometimes software development issues, they definitely know what they are doing when it comes to hardware production. Hardware production costs are falling like a rock, continuing to enable the possibility for more price cuts. It will probably be $299 / 299 Euro / 30,000 yen this fall.

If time delays between cross-platform releases bothered me, I wouldn't be a PC gamer.
