XBox can't be completely falling apart if it took 2nd place right? Of course, XBox got big games this month and Switch got basically nothing, but they need to take those small w's where they can. I would love to know what the actual sales numbers for Monster Hunter were, both in total and by platform.

That is not how that works (from my limited understanding).

Sony and Microsoft keep their prices, and sell them at the same prices.
Its the shops that sell them on wards to consumers, that pay the "more" price, and that is passed onto consumers.

I guess you could ask if "sony and microsoft are willing to lower prices for hardware sales in the US, compared to the rest of the world" to counter some of the higher costs.

We know that it did more than TWICE the dollar sales of Monster Hunter Rise, in its first month (compared to rise's first month).
Its also the best selling game of 2025 already.

So PC+PS5+XBS > Switch for a new monster hunter game, by a factor of at least x2.
