Software predictions:

- Wii: 177m

Looks like a very healthy attach rate for both consoles IMO.

What surprises me: Ninty are forecasting an additional 40% profit on this year - with a lower exchange rate baked in, and taking into account slowing economies & subprime turbulence.

In short - they are doing very, very well. They must have some "mega" titles hitting in the next 12 months.

So, Nintendo is hoping to ramp up production to over 2 million per month for their 08-09 fiscal year. Sounds good.

VGChartz numbers were surprisingly very close to Nintendo's official numbers. Nice.

 Why?

Nintendo doesn't seem to mind their attach rate (their profits and forecasts speak to that).

So, Q4 Wii shipments were:

Total: 4.32m

Japan: 0.91m
NA: 1.76m
Other: 1.64m

Others got almost as many as NA, which isn't usually the case. Seems like the weak dollar made them shift their priorities.
