Yeah, I'm familiar with game boost from PS4 PRO. In the PS5 PRO'S favour, 97 is a good number, actually a surprising number. I seen someone on twitter with a desk setup and a 4k 32 inch monitor, it's these people I'm happy for, they are going to get so much more outta this thing and it beats a PC for the same price by a country mile. Hell it beats some PC's I've seen for double the price. Really Desk users and PSVR2 users are the real winners.

Oh and I seen a figure that said only 420 games support DLSS, that's rather sad for the PC library when you think on how small of a stone that is in such a large pond. PISSER wins in my opinion despite the unfortunate acronym.

I think they call it PSSR.... not PISSER hhahah.

Its PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution.

How you got the Piss part I have no idea :P
So if you wanted you could drop that unfortunate acronym.

I think gameboost is honestly the best thing about it so far.
Like Wukong in boss battles, can have drops down to like low 40's.
Meanwhile same boss fight, will have the Pro, running 55+ fps at the same place.

The closer to a stable 60, we can get the better.
PS5pro if nothing else, is gonna give you that in alot of games, that had performance issues on the XSX/PS5.

Also I think theres like 600+ DLSS titles.
Its been around for along time (like 2018? ish or something)

*edit:
This is inline with Digital foundry testing.
When they find a unlocked game and test, or one with dips far enough below 60 to compare both.
They talked about a 35%-40% performance difference between the PS5 and the PS5pro.
That is enough to have a game that would have dips down to like 41 fps, instead have dips down to like 55 fps.
While some games, where its very cpu bottlenecked, the differnce is much smaller (BG3).

Nah, to me it'll always be pisser. 😆 It's a reference from this...

Pisser enhance!

The CPU being upgraded would have made this machine worth it and it's cheap tech too. A real pity cause it'd be future proof, what's another 100 to an already insane price and you just know developers who can't omtimize would prove the system worth it. GTA6 also, would be an actual step up but I can't see that happening now, just combined quality and performance for double the price and if GTA6 turns out to have issues at launch it's still not gonna be a system that'll save the game like a PC will.

I picked one up today, first sale of the thing at my local store. They did say there were 3 more pre-orders. Stark contrast to when the PS4 Pro came out, midnight launch and all.

Setup was easy of course, snapped the disc drive on without issues. It's now transferring all my data and games from the base PS5, 548 GB worth, eta 5 hours :/ However you can play after it gets the user and save data over (already halfway done) and will keep adding games in the background.

It's a lot smaller and lighter than the base PS5, looks nice. However with the disc drive it lays at a worse angle horizontally than the base model. Stick a block on the other end lol. Not much in the box, 3 cables, controller, 2 manuals. Astro's playroom comes on it again, installed. That's it.

Did you misplace the legs for it? There should be little clear legs that clip in on the bottom, I was confused with my slim also about how to get it flat until I found my dog had nicked them.

Keep us updated on here, let's see how this thing goes for ya? You going straight into the headset? What distance are you from your TV and what size is it?

The legs are for keeping it stable without the disc drive. With the bulge of the disc drive on one side they just float in the air while the console lays at a 15 degree angle.

Data transfer failed... The pro couldn't connect back to the internet after step one. Dunno why. When I went into network settings to test the connection, nothing, couldn't even get through the first step, SSID. Backing out of the network settings it hang on Please Wait. I force rebooted it after 5 minutes.

Tried again, just step 2 (the games). Same thing, it restarts than can't connect back to my network. And it's hanging again on test connection.

Initial user experience F.

I found a thread on Reddit with people with the same problem. Data transfer works for some, for others nothing, no matter what they try.

Guess I'll manually re-download everything from the internet instead of the easy way. Ugh.

When I tried the data transfer thing once it was so slow. Redownloading everything was much faster.

I wired the Pro, left the old one on Wifi, it's finally doing the data transfer. Estimated less than 4 hours for 548 GB, that's faster than my internet.
(312 mbps at 4 hours, my internet caps out at 100 mbps and from PSN it's usually not even 10 mbps)

That's odd with the legs, they didn't take the disk drive into account and add in larger legs, tut tut. Can you transfer with an ethernet cable? Worked for my PS4 PRO.

Oh I see. Yea I got 1G internet so it would be much faster for me. Plus I'd probably just download the game I wanted first and then let the rest run in the background while I play.

Wow, you basically have no need for storage so. You could set your sights on a game, go take a shit and have it ready when you come back.
