We all know soccer is europe's baby. And it is a spectacle...supposed played on a big screen in HD. Wii doesn't do that very well...or at all :)

We can check NFL Madden too and I'm sure wii sold the worst.

However if there is a Lawyer cooking his pony game...or something meant for group fun (like sega tennis) wii would sell more than ps360.

you can't do that on one week only.... last week even had a major 1st party release for N in Europe and japan, this would affect 3rd party sales.

The Fury is right however, this should be compared on multi platform games and per region (so a ratio, thinking of GH3 there that sells nothing in JP) and of course keeping in mind the release dates.

You could take a sample of games and use them as a benchmark (including some shovelware as it is a factor)

Even so, Madden or FIFA, PS3 version sold more then the Wii version and double the amount of people own a Wii. Even in Europe at Christmas, Wii had outsold PS3 by 2.5m. And FIFA games are casual. I could have used Pro Evo as well but Wii version was only recently released.

I guess it's all down to taste and the 'market' it's aimed for. Majority of 3rd Party games for the Wii differ greatly to those on the PS3 and 360. I think if Army of Two came out on Wii it might have been lucky to sell many at all.

I completely agree... Army of Two would never sell as much on the Wii as on 360 even with a bigger Wii userbase.

I'd love to see other types of games go multiplatform... Like Devil May Cry 4 for example...if that was released on the wii at the same time as ps360 who would sell more? I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be wii and it would be nice to be able to silence the "Wii sells most 3rd party games" people. :)

All that proves is that certain titles or genres sell better on X360/PS3 and doesn't mean jack when you consider all 3rd party titles as a whole.

If you want to cherry pick by genre, then go ahead and ignore facts once again.

The overall notion is Wii cannot sell 3rd party titles. Not Wii can't sell 3rd party shooters or Soccer titles.

The problem is Viper1 that not a lot of games go multiplatform for this argument to be won by either side. As far as multiplatform...we have EA sports games with will do better on PS360 and then there is an odd game here and there like Sega tennis which will do better on the wii. If No more heroes came out on PS360...this would be a true test to see if wii really lags when it comes to 3rd party sales or not.

As you can see there is a lot more to multiplatform games than simply EA sports games ... Most licenced and highly marketed general market games tend to have sales relative to their userbase

Street Fighter IV will probably come to the PS3, 360 and Wii right, we will see how that does

I think Street Fighter IV will do better on the PS3 and 360 (best on the PS3) than on the Wii, while a Harry Potter will do better on the Wii, just like The Golden Compass did.. it's related to the demography of a console's owners
