E&D has $130 million loss in Q4.
1.2 million xbox 360s sold Q4 (31.4 million LTD).
1.2 million 360's sold this Q4 FY 09 compared to 1.3 million in Q4 FY 08. Surprised that sales are down considering. But 11.2 million 360's shipped during FY 09 compared to 8.7 million shipped in FY 08.
On the week ending June 27, 2009 we had 360 sales at about 31.12 million. Shipments by the end of June 30, 200 are 31.40 million. Taking into fact of how many 360s are on shelves, retail store warehouses, and in the process of shipping, it is quite probable that we have over tracked the 360 worldwide by a certain amount. Those kinda numbers suggest a sell out which is almost certainly not the case. It is quite probably that retailers are buying less and less in large amounts due to the economy but they are almost certain to have amounts in warehouses to maintain supply.
Zucas, its actually 11.1m for the July to June 2009 year...which interestingly is down from 11.2m for the April to March 2009 year despite the full impact of the price cut being felt more potently in the current year.
SW LTD is apparently 8.6/Xbox 360...which is ~270m games shipped lifetime.

Well the financial report says 11.2 million 360s shipped in FY 2009 or the July to June cycle (which is the only cycle they comment on obviously).
So does this means that the price cut of XBOX360 is no longer in effect.. I mean it did worse than the Apr - Jun 08. which is really surprising to me.
let see wot are the results of PS3.. with XBOX360 doing just 1.2m with $200 machine it will be really impressive if Sony does more than 1.2m with its $400 machine..
But on the realistic side i think source is going to update its PS3 prediction also for the Apr - Jun 09 quarter from 1.5m

Um...its not. Remember that thing that was dominating the news for the first half of this year....the economic down-turn ring a bell?

But XBOX360 was up in Apr - Jun in all the major territories YoY according to most estimates... And everybody is thinking that XBOX is doing better than rest of the consoles for keeping the momentun.. and economic downturn is the reason they cut the price and they should benefit at the expense of others cuz other didn;t reduce the price.. wots the benefit if after even price cut they cant manage to sell equal to last yr.

The 360 is down in Apr - Jun in the US according to NPD. GTA4 was big one year ago with nothing comparable this year.
