Forums - Politics - Concord is Sony's biggest failure in gaming history.

Sony's Investor Q&A discussing the game's failure:

"We probably need to have a lot of gates, including user testing or internal evaluation, and the timing of such gates. And then we need to bring them forward, and we should have done those gates much earlier than we did."

"We intend to build on an optimum title portfolio during the current mid-range plan period that combines single-player games – which are our strengths and which have a higher predictability of becoming hits due to our proven IP – with live-service games that pursue upside while taking on a certain amount of risk upon release."

Around the Network

Bump, they have another winner coming with Marathon. Bungie has been busted for at least the fourth time stealing artwork and using it. Huge amount of negativity around the game.

Marathon won’t be delisted a couple of weeks after release, but it will be a huge loss for Sony.

Yeah I've got my eye on Marathon, I can't see it being quite as disastrous as Concord, but it does look like its facing an uphill battle as yet another live service game with a lot of negativity surrounding it.

What a shame. Been playing Bungie’s games since Myth 2. It almost feels like a fever dream that I once held Bungie among gaming royalty.
