Forums - Politics Discussion - 2024 US Presidential Election

We had another thread, not too long ago, where a majority of users here appeared to be adamant that comedians shouldn't have boundaries. Maybe they should clarify if this sort of thing is what they meant.

Another thing worth remembering is that Trump hasn't been concerned with winning the electoral college since a few months ago. He has been working on his setup that this election will be stolen, so what does it matter if he wins or not when his loyal followers will believe that he won either way. That's probably why his campaign has given up on broadening its base and is instead focused on fully catering to the worst of America.

I view this as a miscalculation on his part though, because this time around there will be a Democratic president when the electoral vote is confirmed in early January. The storm of the capitol and the duration of it could only happen because Trump was the commander in chief, but it's not going to play out this way under Biden's watch.

A real concern, however, is that on a state level it's not going to be pretty. Four years ago the "stop the count" protesters were mostly civil, but will they be again in a post-January 6 world? I have my doubts, so the battleground states should heighten the security for election workers, hope for the best and be prepared for the worst.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

Ricky Martin = Puerto Rican singer, songwriter and actor. 19m followers on Twitter and 18m on Instagram.
Bad Bunny = Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and record producer, known as King of Latin Rap, 45m followers on Instagram.

Not saying they will cause a huge spike to Harris or anything of course, but yeah, this rally will not be a benefit to Trump.

Trump Campaign is already damage controlling but we know it's bullshit, they invited him, they almost certainly knew his speech, it's always some dude being a racist, fascist little fuck at these Trump rallies, oh I'm sorry Mark Robinson is a Nazi, oh I'm sorry our speaker is a racist cunt, etc. They aren't damage controlling because they disagree with it, they're damage controlling because it's already getting out of hand, they didn't expect the reaction to be this negative, it will be the only thing remembered from their Nazi rally.

One would think that these things would hurt him, but it's been clear for the last 8 years that Trump and his cult view non-whites as lesser, to put it mildly, and yet still some of them will vote for him.

Did Ryuu post this one already?

I have a cousin who is half Puerto-Rican and half-Dominican. He is very conservative due to being in the army for decades and surrounded by that authoritarian conservative mindset. Also from growing up in a very rural area in his teenage years.

Clearly voted for Trump in 2016, based on his social media posts, and I am unsure if he voted for him in 2020.

He doesn't live in a swing state (he lives in a solidly red state), but there are many like him who do.

Even if you lose a few thousand people from this, that can be the difference between winning or losing a swing state.

Many older white Trump voters either died from covid due to being anti-vaxxers or moved to Florida. That's partly why Trump's campaign was trying to manufacture the idea that he was gaining support amongst black and hispanic men. Good way to lose any actual gains he made there with his 21st century Nazi MSG rally. Basically it comes down to how much they can delude themselves that Trump is not racist in a dangerous way and how misogynistic they are.
