The ps3 wasn´t hacked before because it wasn´t a prioroty but now it is since it started selling and is the only one of the consoles not being hacked. There has been an exploit that they use to hack it and as far as I know there pretty far ahead and will announce sometime this year and there is a way to play PS3 games that you download but that is kept to a few choosen. It will be hacked and probably in the same way the old xbox was so you can get full access to the hard drives and watch what ever media you want just like the old xbox. Just informing you so you know about theese things. |
Just like that Labtop contest where Apple was the first one hacked. I mean did the gamecube ever get hacked? Of course, what with the tiny discs i can't imagine anyone caring if it did.

nah, the 100k or so that gets pirated is way below the 15m+ copies that will be sold.
100K download, do you honestly believe the warez sector is that small? Just my small sourcesite I got it from is already up to 2390 downloads and 5879 more people waiting in line. That's just counting one torrent site out of thousands and then there's Usenet (or newsgroups), copy trading on work/school and many other p2p services. It also has just been out for a few hours.
If piracy was only a 100k issue on 15 million sold then noone would have cared at all and it wouldn't be in the news so much. There simply isn't a website not covering this, even saw it on teamxbox. Piracy is extremely big and since this game is multiplatform this will put a big dent in gamesales. Especially for the 360 since it currently is the only platform sensitive to it.

PSN name: Gazz1979 (feel free to add me, but please put your Vgchartz name in the message!)
Battlefield 2: Gazz1979
The reason why the PS3 number is so low is because not many people will have the physical means to burn to a Blu-Ray disc.

and even if they did have the means to burn it onto a bluray disc, it still wont be playable as the ps3 does not play backup copies. honestly, i wonder why they even bothered to download the ps3 version. though they could be piling up a collection in anticipation of any exploit that may be found in the near future.
at OT: piracy would affect sales but not to a large extent. if the game cant be pirated, only a handfull would still buy the original and the majority wouldnt bother.
where i live, pircay is very rampant, anywhere you go you'd see vendors selling backup copies from ps1 to x360 games, even wii games are also available. and the consolde of choice is the one that has the most amount of pirated games available. which is at first, for next gen (or this gen), was the x360. but due to the "rrod" the system of choice here now is the psp and the ps2 (still). and only ture gaming enthusiasts and the quite rich are buying the ps3. go figure.
Can I ask, just because I don't know the answer: Are these hacked versions of 360 games played on PCs, or are they put on a 360 hard drive and played on one's 360, or both?
No one?
Anyway, it's a helluva kick in the Micro-balls if peeps can play hacked 360 games actually on the 360 itself....
If anything, it's even more surprising to realize that you can pirate all the games on the 360 for the cost of a blank DVD, but it's still getting outsold by the PS3.
pirated version of x360 game burn onto a blank D9(dual layer) disc and run on a modded x360.
