“If you are going to help the ICC as a nation and force the arrest warrant against Bibi and Gallant, the former defense minister, I will put sanctions on you as a nation,” he said. “You’re gonna have to pick the rogue ICC versus America. I’m working with Tom Cotton to have legislation passed as soon as we can to sanction any country that aids and abets the arrest of any politician in Israel. What they’re doing in Israel is trying to prevent a second Holocaust. So, to any ally, Canada, Britain, Germany, France, if you try to help the ICC, we’re gonna sanction you.”

Lindsey Graham Threatens Allies If They Arrest Netanyahu

Go fuck yourself, America. When is Europe going to learn that America isn't a true ally? Democrats...Maybe...But Republicans? Trump isn't even in office yet and they've already threatened half of Europe multiple times. This is what Americans voted for, they do not care about us, it's time for Europe to go its own way. UK better grow some balls and stop being America's dog.

Russia is already trying to divide Europe, now we're being threatened by America too, we should stay united with each other. We shouldn't give a fuck that America is a vassal state of Israel. We don't need to defend a genocidal maniac like Netanyahu because religious morons in America think Israel is some Holy Land that must be defended at all costs.

Maybe America should go through with sanctioning Europe, China, enforcing tariffs on everyone, etc. See how quickly America collapses when it has no trading partners, maybe they'll lift sanctions on Russia and trade with them, seems like a pretty likely option lately. But hey speeding up America's collapse might put some fucking sense into the idiots who voted Trump.

  • Hungary’s prime minister invited Netanyahu to Budapest in defiance of an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC), even as the European Union’s top diplomat said the tribunal’s orders are binding on all member states.

Israel issues forced displacement orders for parts of Gaza City

Hundreds of Palestinians have fled Gaza City’s Shujayea after the Israeli military issued fresh displacement orders and threatened to shell the northern neighbourhood, according to the Wafa news agency. Dozens of families fled the area on foot, carrying some belongings and blankets on their backs, Wafa reported, citing local sources.

The orders came as an Israeli siege on northern Gaza, including Jabalia, Beit Hanoon and Beit Lahiya, entered its eighth week

Is there a list of which European countries said they'd arrest Netanyahu and/or accept the verdict and which have said they won't and/or avoided the question? I want to see who actually has a spine and isn't a fucking hypocrite. All those that accepted the Putin warrant must accept the Netanyahu warrant too. They're both scum and I can't wait until the world is rid of them.

There were reactions from some countries.

Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp confirmed the Netherlands would "act on the arrest warrants."

Belgium's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it supported the work of the ICC "fully" and that "those responsible for crimes committed in Israel and Gaza must be prosecuted at the highest level, regardless of who committed them.”

France's Ministry of Foreign Affairs declined to say whether the country would arrest Gallant or Netanyahu but said it would act "in line with the ICC’s statutes.”

Their Austrian counterpart said that warrants were "ludicrous", but that his country would also be forced to implement arrests should Netanyahu and Gallant travel to Austria.

Italy's Defence Minister Guido Crosetto said Thursday that although it was "wrong" to compare Netanyahu and Gallant to Hamas, if the pair were to enter Italy, "we would have to arrest them".

Germany's Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said Germany was "examining" how to respond to the court's decision, adding that the country is bound by the court and recognises international law.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán responded that not only would he defy the court, but that he would extend an invitation to Netanyahu to travel to Budapest

The US is lost for the next 4 years. Hopefully Borrell can get sanctions through, but will have to get around Germany first :/ Germany is responsible for 30% of the weapon shipments to Israel. The UK mostly provides intelligence (flies reconnaissance flight over Gaza based on information extracted by the IDF under torture, breaking UK laws)

Trump backs staunchly anti-Palestinian Florida lawmaker to run for US Congress

United States President-elect Donald Trump is encouraging a Florida legislator who celebrated the killing of an American citizen by the Israeli military to run for Congress.

Trump said in a social media post on Sunday that if State Senator Randy Fine decides to seek a congressional seat in Florida, the state lawmaker would have his “Complete and Total Endorsement”.

Fine, who has a long history of anti-Muslim statements, sparked outrage earlier this year when he appeared to praise the killing of Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, a US activist who was fatally shot by the Israeli military in the occupied West Bank.

“Throw rocks, get shot. One less #MuslimTerror ist. #FireAway,” Fine wrote in a social media post in September.

Eygi was taking part in a peaceful protest when she was shot.

Israeli attack on southern Lebanon’s Tyre kills three

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) is reporting that rescue teams pulled body parts from the rubble after an Israeli attack on Tyre in southern Lebanon.

Three people were also injured in the attack on a building near the town’s electricity company. Remnants of the guided missile used in the attack were also found, the NNA added.

At least eight people were killed in a series of Israeli attacks on Tyre on Saturday, including two fishermen killed by an Israeli drone.

Two paramedics killed in Israeli attacks on Lebanon’s Ain Baal

We have more on the Israeli drone attacks in southern Lebanon. The Ministry of Health said that the two people killed in the attack were paramedics. It said that an Israeli drone hit an ambulance as it was heading to Ain Baal for a rescue operation. When a second ambulance rushed to the scene of the attack, it was also pursued and hit by an Israeli drone.

The attacks killed two paramedics and injured four others.

The killings come as Lebanese authorities accuse Israel of deliberately attacking and killing paramedics. The World Health Organization says Israeli forces have killed 226 on-duty health workers and wounded 199 others in Lebanon over the past year. Nearly two-thirds of the casualties were recorded since the tensions between Hezbollah and Israel escalated in September.

Projectiles from Lebanon set off sirens in central Israel

The Israeli military said it intercepted five projectiles from Lebanon after air raid sirens sounded in central Israel in the Dan, Sharon and Menashe regions. Another projectile fell in an open area.

The statement comes shortly after drones launched from Lebanon set off sirens in northern Israel, in the western and upper Galilee regions.

One injured in Israel after Hezbollah attack

Magen David Adom, Israel’s ambulance service, says it is treating the person, a 50-year-old woman, for a shrapnel injury. The woman was injured in the town of Ma’alot in the north.

Israeli army: 30 rockets fired from Lebanon

The army says the rocket fire was detected in the upper and western Galilee regions. Only some of the rockets were intercepted, and some “crashes” were detected. Israeli media has reported damage in several areas, including in Haifa and the area surrounding Tel Aviv.

Israeli army issues threat to five towns in southern Lebanon

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee has ordered residents living in the villages and towns of East Zotar, West Zotar, Arnoun, Yahmar and al-Qasiba in southern Lebanon to evacuate their homes. Claiming without evidence that these towns are hosting Hezbollah, he said the Israeli army would be operating against them shortly.

He also warned residents against moving south, saying it “could be dangerous to your life”.

Second missile salvo fired from Lebanon towards Metula

Our colleagues at Al Jazeera report that a second missile salvo was fired from Lebanon towards Metula in the upper Galilee. The Israeli Home Front Command said sirens were sounding for the third time in Metula.

Extensive damage reported in Metula after rockets launched from Lebanon

Head of the Metula Council, David Azoulai, in northern Israel, has said eight rocket salvoes have been launched towards the city since morning, Yedioth Ahronoth has reported. He said Metula had sustained “extensive damage to buildings”.

Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Hezbollah has fired 60 missiles at Israel since this morning.

Lebanon military says one soldier killed, 18 hurt in Israeli strike on army centre

At least one soldier has been killed and 18 others wounded, some seriously, after an Israeli attack on an army centre in the town of al-Amiriya on the Qlaileh-Tyre road in southern Lebanon, the Lebanese army has said. The attack caused severe damage to the facility, the army added in a post on X.

The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the incident.

Israel ‘attacks anyone it wants, whenever it wants’

The attack took place just a little before noon local time; rescue crews are still likely on the way to the scene of this attack. We got reports that an Israeli strike was carried out on an army base, a checkpoint of the Lebanese army intelligence in al-Amiriya, in the Tyre district.

At least one person has been killed and 18 others injured.

This goes to show no matter what Israel says about who it’s targeting, who it’s fighting, it attacks anyone it wants, whenever it wants, inside Lebanon. One thing every Lebanese will tell you now is that there is no safe roof over anyone’s head and what unites them now is the shared experience of Israel’s ongoing aggression, its ongoing war on Lebanon.

Hezbollah claims its first drone attack on Israel’s Ashdod naval base

Hezbollah says it launched a drone attack on the Ashdod naval base in southern Israel for the first time. The Lebanese group said in another statement it also carried out an operation against a “military target” in Tel Aviv using “a barrage of advanced missiles and a swarm of strike drones”.

Rockets from Lebanon hit Tel Aviv, Haifa areas

The Israeli ambulance service says three people were wounded in Petah Tikva, east of Tel Aviv, after rockets were launched from Lebanon.

Since the morning, we’ve seen reports of a large number of rockets fired from Lebanon towards Israel. This is presumed to be in response to violent attacks yesterday in the Lebanese capital.

In addition to the northern border areas and towns, we now have reports of direct impact in an area near Tel Aviv in Haifa and Haifa Bay area. Three people were reported injured.

There was anticipation for this kind of response. If we go by the pattern, Hezbollah usually responds to the attack on Beirut by attacking Tel Aviv.

Certainly, the number of rockets, which some Israeli reports put as high as 150 so far today, is an indication of the kind of escalation we’re seeing since the early morning.

Eight rockets fired from Lebanon towards Israel: Military

Avichay Adraee, the Israeli military’s Arabic-language spokesperson, says eight rockets were fired towards Israel from Lebanon. “Reports of some falling or fragments from the interceptions are being examined,” he said, adding that most of the rockets were intercepted.

One killed, 21 wounded in Israeli raid on Lebanon’s Mashghara

The Israeli raid on the town of Mashghara in the western Bekaa Valley yesterday resulted in one death and 21 injuries, Lebanon’s Health Ministry has said on X.

Israel carried out several deadly attacks on Lebanon over the past week. In a strike on the Basta al-Fawqa neighbourhood in central Beirut yesterday, at least 20 people were killed and 66 injured.

Two Israeli strikes hit south Beirut: Lebanon state media

Lebanese state media reported two Israeli strikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs about an hour after the Israeli army posted evacuation calls online for parts of the Hezbollah bastion.

“Israeli warplanes launched two violent strikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs in the Kafaat area,” the official National News Agency said. AFPTV footage showed grey smoke billowing over south Beirut.

Two killed in Lebanon’s Baalbek-Hermel area: Ministry

An Israeli raid on the Bouday-Saida Road in Lebanon’s Baalbek-Hermel Governorate killed two and injured one person, according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.

Video captures Israeli strike in Beirut’s southern suburb

Video footage captures the moment a building was shelled by Israeli forces in the Hadath area of Beirut’s southern suburbs, as verified by Sanad, Al Jazeera’s fact-checking agency.

Hezbollah forces Israeli army to retreat from strategic hill

The main developments are taking place in Tyre. In the past hour, there have been fierce battles and an exchange of fire between Hezbollah fighters and Israeli soldiers.  We’ve also seen at least 200 rockets – maybe more than that – launched towards Israel. The main development here is that the Israeli military was forced to retreat from al-Bayyaada.

Hezbollah fighters launched several anti-tank missiles towards Israeli tanks that were positioned on al-Bayyaada hill, which is a strategic hill that the Israelis are trying to take in order to close the coastal line between Tyre and Naqoura, which is the headquarters of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

These exchanges have been taking place for the past few days, but today with several anti-tank missiles launched by Hezbollah fighters towards Israeli tanks, the Israelis had to retreat. In parallel, the Israelis launched several air strikes in the area of Tyre, including a massive one on Deir Qanoun Ras El Ain.

This comes just hours after Israeli forces targeted a checkpoint and a barracks for the Lebanese Army, killing and injuring soldiers.

Lebanon death toll rises

At least 3,754 people have been killed and 15,626 wounded in Israeli attacks on Lebanon since October 8, 2023, Lebanon’s Health Ministry says. Of those, 84 were killed and 213 wounded in the latest 24-hour reporting period, the ministry added on X.

Death toll in yesterday’s central Beirut attack rises to 29

Lebanon’s Health Ministry says at least 29 people have been confirmed killed and 67 injured in the Israeli attack on the Basta al-Fawqa neighbourhood. The predawn attack was unleashed without any warning from the Israeli military, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported.

More Israelis wounded in rocket strikes from Lebanon

Three Israelis were injured in a new rocket barrage from Lebanon as heavy bombardment continues between Israel and Hezbollah.

The Israel Hayom newspaper said a rocket hit a factory in Maalot-Tarshiha in western Galilee, causing damage. A woman also sustained light injuries from rocket shrapnel in the area.

Two more Israelis were wounded after a rocket struck a building in Petah Tikva, east of Tel Aviv, according to Channel 12.

The attack led to a temporary halt in flights at Ben Gurion International Airport in central Israel, the public broadcaster Kan reported. Later, Channel 14 said about 250 rockets were launched at northern Israel from Lebanon.

At least 340 Hezbollah projectiles launched from Lebanon

Israeli Army Radio says 340 missiles, rockets and drones were launched from Lebanon since the morning. It was Hezbollah’s heaviest barrage in months. Some of the rockets reached the Tel Aviv area in the heart of Israel.

Israel’s Magen David Adom rescue service said it treated seven people, including a 60-year-old man in severe condition, after rocket fire on northern Israel.

Israeli forces again hit southern suburbs of Beirut

Our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic are reporting Israeli warplanes launched “successive raids” on the southern suburbs of Beirut.

‘Massive destruction’ after Israeli air strikes pound Beirut

Lebanon’s state media report a plethora of Israeli air strikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs after the Israeli army gave short notice for civilians to flee. Loud explosions were heard with car alarms going off throughout one street in Lebanon capital.

“A series of violent strikes are targeting Haret Hreik, Bir al-Abed and Ghobeiri in the southern suburbs of Beirut,” the official National News Agency (NNA) reported.

The raids “caused massive destruction over a large geographical area” of the Kafaat district, NNA said. There were no immediate reports of casualties in Sunday’s strikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs, which have been largely emptied of their residents during the fighting.

Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee earlier warned the military would strike “Hezbollah facilities and interests” in southern Beirut.

Hezbollah claims it destroyed six Israeli tanks in Lebanon’s south

The Lebanese group says it destroyed six Israeli Merkava tanks in Lebanon’s south, five in the strategic coastal area of al-Bayada where Israeli troops later retreated from a key hilltop position.

Hezbollah fighters “destroyed” five Israeli tanks on the eastern outskirts of the town of al-Bayyaada, where heavy ground battles have raged for days.

The group also knocked out a sixth Merkava tank in the Deir Mimas area close to the border, it said in separate statements.

EU top diplomat calls for urgent steps to stop fighting in Lebanon

Josep Borrell says he met PM Najib Mikati in Beirut to “discuss urgent key steps” to stop the fighting in Lebanon.

“We must ensure that both sides, Israel and Hezbollah, halt their destructive actions,” Borrell said on X.

“The Israeli army has erased 37 entire villages” in south Lebanon and continues to drop one-tonne bombs on central Beirut, he said, adding, “This must stop as do Hezbollah’s attacks on Israeli communities.”

UN envoy says ‘extremely critical’ to avoid Syria being dragged into war

The UN special envoy for Syria has said it was “extremely critical” to end the wars in Lebanon and Gaza to avoid the country being pulled into a regional war.

“We need now to make sure that we have immediately a ceasefire in Gaza, that we have a ceasefire in Lebanon, and that we avoid Syria being dragged even further into the conflict,” said Geir Otto Pedersen before a meeting with the Syrian foreign minister in Damascus.

Israel has been intermittently bombing Syria, though it rarely claims the attacks it carries out. This week, an Israeli attack on Palmyra killed at least 36 people.

Iran preparing to ‘respond’ to Israel: Supreme leader adviser

Iran is getting set to “respond” to Israel, Ali Larijani, a senior adviser to the country’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, says in an interview published by the Tasnim News Agency.

“Relevant officials at [the] Iranian military and government are preparing measures to show a proper response to recent Israeli aggression against Iran,” Larijani said, adding that restoring deterrence is a key issue.

“[Officials] are pursuing the issue carefully to ensure that Iran’s response to Israel fulfills these specifications. This is an issue [where] we should allow relevant military officials to take the right decision. I know they are thinking about different ways to reach that decision.”

On October 26, Israeli fighter jets launched strikes on Iran after Tehran fired ballistic missiles at Israel in response to the killings of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.

Since then, Israel has raised its alert level and deployed the US-made Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) air defence system in anticipation of an Iranian response.

Gunman shot dead, three police injured in shooting near Israeli embassy in Jordan

A gunman has been shot dead and three policemen have been injured after a shooting near the Israeli embassy in Jordan, a security source and state media have reported.

Police shot a gunman who had fired at a police patrol in the Rabiah neighbourhood of Amman, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported, citing public security. The area is a flashpoint for frequent demonstrations against Israel.

Jordan’s Minister of Communication and government spokesperson Mohammad al-Momani called the shooting incident “a terrorist attack on the Public Security Forces that are doing their duty”, Petra reported.

“Any infringement on the security of the country and attacks on security personnel will be met with firmness,” he said.

Jordan’s peace treaty with Israel is unpopular among many citizens who see normalisation of relations as betraying the rights of their Palestinian compatriots.

Israeli rabbi found dead in UAE

An Israeli man who went missing in the United Arab Emirates has been found murdered, PM Netanyahu’s office says, denouncing his death as a “heinous antisemitic terrorist act”.

Zvi Kogan, a rabbi who worked for the orthodox Jewish organisation Chabad in the Gulf country, went missing in Dubai on Thursday.

“The state of Israel will use all means at its disposal to bring the criminals responsible for his death to justice,” the prime minister’s statement said. Israel has advised against travel to the UAE in the wake of Kogan’s death.

UAE arrests three suspects in killing of Israeli rabbi

The United Arab Emirates arrested three suspects in the killing of an Israeli-Moldovan rabbi, the Gulf state’s news agency reports.

Kogan’s body was found in the Emirati city of Al Ain, which borders Oman, though it is not clear if he was killed there or elsewhere. Emirati and Israeli authorities have not said who was involved in the killing or what the motive might have been.
