Yeah, how?

I'd like to know the official word on this from ioi.

^Ah..but that's was very simple to do my friend. You see, every 80GB PS3 was bundled with Motorstorm (in Americas). So if you know how many 80GB PS3 are sold for a given week, or at least a very approximate ratio of 80GB vs 40GB PS3s sold, you can accurately estimate how many copies the bundled Motorstorm was selling.

But GT5:P bundle is a little different. GT5P is bundled with a 40GB PS3, and ALL PS3 sold in Europe are 40GB non-BC version (60GB production was discontinued, and they haven't got the 80GB one). But not all PS3s in Europe are GT5P bundles. So, how do you know how many of the PS3 sold in Europe are GT5P bundles?

I've read that Americans have a greater tendency to download games than other territories. That's why Echochrome for PSP will be a downloadable game in the states and a UMD game in other territories. Therefore, there would be a greater percentage of GT5P owners in America that downloaded versus the rest of the world. That's why American sales are so low.

and credit card adoption rate is way higher in the states, than in europe, so more of them have the means to buy someting from the PSN Store

 If I understand your question (you're asking if VGC counts bundled GT5:P as sold?) then yes, Ioi can track bundled games.

How do I know? He tracked Forza and Marvel when they were hugely bundled, he also tracked Resistance and Motorstorm when they were bundled in Europe.
